If you're anything like the majority of the Joystiq staff, you spent the bulk of your formative years slaying all manner of pixelated beasties and saving incredibly low definition damsels in distress. If so, watching the first English trailer for 3D Dot Game Heroes is likely to take you way, way back. If, on the other hand, you're not an old codger like us, you can still appreciate the game's wonderful art style, which is a breath of fresh air in these brown times.

Anyway, I could only find little mentions about this game. I hear its going to be 40 buckeroos when it hits the states and those who want it should pre-order as this won't be a blockbuster hit.
My question to you is do you know if its actually good? I know its nostalgia galore which on its own is almost a reason to plunk 40 bucks but still.
I hope this off-topic comment thing doesn't ruin one of the last few sites I frequent which still has a comment section that is not riddled with bullshit.
Everything about this game reminds me of Zelda. The music, gameplay, characters, etc. Just the block aesthetic is different. And this is a good thing. It looks great. 2010 is huge and I can't wait to get this title.
Hold on... Where did the comedy Engrish go? This is just the original awesomely funny trailer, with horribly not funny correct translation? I don't get it, Atlus thought those translations were genuine mistakes?!
