British Intelligence recruiting Xbox gamers
The Guardian reports that British Intelligence is looking for a few good men. Specifically, the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) is running ads on the Xbox 360 dashboard and within Xbox games to recruit new members. The GCHQ, which works with both MI5 and MI6 (yes, that MI6), seeks to recruit young people with an affinity for "quick thinking, problem solving and team work." GCHQ believes that these criteria are "reflected in game-play experiences on Xbox."
We're expecting a new generation of foul-mouthed, teabagging James Bonds any day now.

Bobby Kotick - Co-Founder of the ATDF @ Nov 20th 2009 4:46PM
Does it really matter which Bond girl?
Bubbameister33 (Confused by Fanboyism) @ Nov 20th 2009 4:48PM
Yes it matters, there are always two Bond girls. One that will kill you after sex and one that won't.
BananaBoat @ Nov 20th 2009 5:21PM
Oh hell yes Denise Richards. Christmas will come thrice in Turkey this year.
Drew -- PS360: uphillbothways @ Nov 20th 2009 6:15PM
And not only will she leave afterwards, she'll be dead by the end of the movie.
Darth Bradwart, The Dark Lord of the Sith-ATDF Co-Founder @ Nov 20th 2009 4:02PM
Bond. James Bond.
allislost @ Nov 20th 2009 4:15PM

sonicspike41 @ Nov 20th 2009 6:31PM
Darth, this is off topic, but it's the easiest way to leave you a message. Consider this evidence for the future.

Do we get a cool handle like "Soap?"
samueltehg33k @ Nov 20th 2009 4:42PM
SOAP!? What kind of name is soap?
D dogg @ Nov 20th 2009 5:10PM
I think it may be Modern Warfare 2... I do remember a guy in campaign referred to as "Soap".
LaughingMan @ Nov 20th 2009 5:14PM
Hah! D dogg.... McTavish was named "Soap" in COD4 too. samuel just quoted Captain Price's first words to the main character in Modern Warfare.
Mr.ESC @ Nov 20th 2009 5:51PM
A Muppet name.
I'll take Ghost or Gaz,I have a good feeling about those names.
Darayz @ Nov 20th 2009 4:20PM
[ MI6 seeks to recruit young people with an affinity for "quick thinking, problem solving and team work." ]
Sweet. So when I'm trying to get 1000 achievement points for Left 4 Dead 2, I'm really working on my resume.
K1LLER HORNET @ Nov 20th 2009 5:48PM
Exactly.
That's why on Job applications there is sometimes a question along the lines of "List your greatest achievement".
You would obviously write in the box, the name of the achievement, how much G it was worth & time taken/effort taken to accomplish :P
kooda @ Nov 20th 2009 5:56PM
oy vay definitely assassins creed flags :| theyd take anyone if they had that
commonperson @ Nov 20th 2009 4:33PM
That's not all, they have a website with an interactive "game" that tests your memory and ability to maintain a cover on the fly with little prep time. It will tell you if you qualify to be a field agent or not. It was in the paper a couple weeks back, wish I remembered the link. Between the US army saying that video games are growing "natural drone pilots" and SIS recruiting online goodness knows what's next. I'm just jelous, when I was a kid the most I could hope for from computer games was eye strain and a potential seizure. :-P
Azradesh @ Nov 20th 2009 4:27PM
"quick thinking, problem solving and team work."
They are looking for these things on Xbox Live?

Later on BBC news:
A suspected terrorist in British captivity today, claims to have been called "ghey," as well as "tea bagged" by a large group of men, that we can only assume is called a "tea party."
A representative of the British Intelligence Agency named in the claim, denys all allegations.
Zoot Suit Jedi @ Nov 20th 2009 4:34PM
This just in:
An anonymous tip from someone who claims to have been involved with the incident says, "We have crazy l33t skillz and stuff, and like, yeah, and we TOTALLY, teabagged that terrorist dude, brah."
Efren @ Nov 20th 2009 4:30PM
Aren't you Sexy Randall the Pharaoh Wizard?!
Obi-Habby @ Nov 20th 2009 7:41PM
Randall: Back in high school they called me Sexy Randall the Pharaoh Wizard.
Dante: No they didn't
Randall: Well one guy did.

JAMESH BOND
Rudy van DiSarzio - ATDF High Priest of the Psychedelic Monks. @ Nov 20th 2009 4:34PM
Pierce Brosnan is the best James Bond.
Sean Connery and Daniel Craig ain't got nothing on him.
tmacairjordan87 @ Nov 20th 2009 4:37PM
I agree, but holy shit will you catch a lot of flak for that comment.
CynicalStrike @ Nov 20th 2009 4:55PM
(puts on flak jacket)
Timothy Dalton is the best James Bond.
cylet @ Nov 20th 2009 5:00PM
Ian Flemming is the best James Bond.

WREturns [Planeteer I Power of The Final Countdown] Personal Shopper of the ATDF @ Nov 20th 2009 5:29PM
You guys are right in that Brosnan LOOKS like the closest approximation to James Bond, but Craig is more like the Bond in the books as far as being utterly ruthless bordering on cruel.
tmacairjordan87 @ Nov 20th 2009 5:33PM
Craig is a pussy, he cried in the first movie. James Bond doesn't cry.
ifalldownstairs @ Nov 20th 2009 5:47PM
o.O
Since none of you have any sense, I'll point out the obvious. Sean Connery was the best James Bond by far.
Space @ Nov 20th 2009 6:03PM
This 20sec clip proves that sean connery will always be the greatest james bond.

maveric101 @ Nov 22nd 2009 2:16AM
i dunno... when i see brosnan, i'm just like, "THAT'S what Bond is supposed to look like." i say brosnan.
Smoke_me_a_Kipper @ Nov 20th 2009 4:38PM
Do you like your teabagging, shaken or stirred?
snowleopard233 @ Nov 20th 2009 4:53PM
Both those options sound painful for everyone involved...
cylet @ Nov 20th 2009 4:58PM
"We're expecting a new generation of foul-mouthed, teabagging James Bonds any day now."
LOL thatsh magnifishcent
Bravo6 @ Nov 20th 2009 8:08PM
LOL agreed!
Bane @ Nov 20th 2009 5:22PM
Wonder why they aren't recruiting any PS3 gamers?
el serpiente @ Nov 20th 2009 5:33PM
Because with fine specimens of intellectual superiority such as yourself on the 360, why even bother with anything else?
I'm sure you will be most useful in the advanced internet douchebag division. Surely with your relentless juvenile trolling skills you could disrupt North Korean message boards, sow social unrest and finally topple the authoritarian regime and liberate Asia and the world from one of its most dangerous rogue states.
kooda @ Nov 20th 2009 5:54PM
I'd end up teabagging every single person i see/kill/stalk :| besides wont it be filled with spies shouting "MOAR PEW PEW LESS BUTTSECKS LAL" then again the enemy would be so confused youd still be able to take them down o_O
Alexander @ Nov 20th 2009 5:55PM
British Intelligence. INTELLIGENCE...
The last place they should be looking is online gaming.
Breakerchase @ Nov 20th 2009 6:00PM
They're probably looking for more analysts to recruit.
mijailtodorovich @ Nov 20th 2009 6:56PM
So... this means that James Bond has a Xbox, and Austin Powers has a PS3 or, maybe a Wii
ObiBen @ Nov 20th 2009 7:09PM
Bond......xXJamesBond007Xx
