British Intelligence recruiting Xbox gamers

The Guardian reports that British Intelligence is looking for a few good men. Specifically, the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) is running ads on the Xbox 360 dashboard and within Xbox games to recruit new members. The GCHQ, which works with both MI5 and MI6 (yes, that MI6), seeks to recruit young people with an affinity for "quick thinking, problem solving and team work." GCHQ believes that these criteria are "reflected in game-play experiences on Xbox."

We're expecting a new generation of foul-mouthed, teabagging James Bonds any day now.

Sweet. So when I'm trying to get 1000 achievement points for Left 4 Dead 2, I'm really working on my resume.

Exactly.

That's why on Job applications there is sometimes a question along the lines of "List your greatest achievement".
You would obviously write in the box, the name of the achievement, how much G it was worth & time taken/effort taken to accomplish :P

That's not all, they have a website with an interactive "game" that tests your memory and ability to maintain a cover on the fly with little prep time. It will tell you if you qualify to be a field agent or not. It was in the paper a couple weeks back, wish I remembered the link. Between the US army saying that video games are growing "natural drone pilots" and SIS recruiting online goodness knows what's next. I'm just jelous, when I was a kid the most I could hope for from computer games was eye strain and a potential seizure. :-P

You guys are right in that Brosnan LOOKS like the closest approximation to James Bond, but Craig is more like the Bond in the books as far as being utterly ruthless bordering on cruel.

Craig is a pussy, he cried in the first movie. James Bond doesn't cry.

Since none of you have any sense, I'll point out the obvious. Sean Connery was the best James Bond by far.

I'd end up teabagging every single person i see/kill/stalk :| besides wont it be filled with spies shouting "MOAR PEW PEW LESS BUTTSECKS LAL" then again the enemy would be so confused youd still be able to take them down o_O

The last place they should be looking is online gaming.

They're probably looking for more analysts to recruit.
