This is how you throw an adhocParty

The PlayStation.Blog has been kind enough to make a walkthrough video of Sony's brand new adhocParty service for PSP/PS3. With this program, games that don't have Infrastructure multiplayer modes on PSP can be played online through the PlayStation Network. Essentially, the PS3 uses some evil voodoo magic to trick the PSP into thinking it's playing Ad-Hoc with others.

I hate how it works sometimes and then completely screws up 5 mins later. Some games are pretty horrible on it also. They might as well have called it Monster Hunter Party because that's basically all anyone plays and the occasional Dissida and Gran Turismo

War of the Lions? I beat it... Then I played the DS Tactics 2, and realized how slow and frustrating WotL was.

I hear that a Wired Connection is a Standard for any tunneling software. So this may be the reason.

it's a shame. The only thing I am missing for this is a fast, wireless internet and cable

this company really seems to have its priorities out of whack, doesn't it? odd little niche things like this and they can't make it so i can buy stuff/make friend request/send messages, etc on my PC for my PS3 (or XGC, but that's a given)? that's what i really want!

Well, pretty soon I'll get to move into my new house where I can be wired in. My wifi card is busy giving my PS3 web access.

I think this is bull that you need a PS3 to use Ad-Hoc party. Seriously, playing multiplayer online should have been considered from the beginning of the PSP's life. How about they update the actual PSP to run Ad-Hoc Party? You know, so us PSP owners don't have to dish out a couple hundred dollars more to play PSP games online?

If you're having problems getting your router wired to your PS3, you could try an Ethernet through mains type solution. Homeplug kind of thing, that's what I do.

The built-in wireless was a HUGE selling point for me because otherwise I'd need a 30+ foot cable to plug it in to my router on the other side of the house.
So.... No... I am not going to go out and buy a cable and muck about in a crawlspace for this. Thanks anyway.
