Yeah, because like... physical copies always work when released.

The PC version of Terminator Salvation had to be recalled because it was un-installable.

The Wii version of Guitar Hero 3 was released with mono audio and it took a rather long time for Activision to do something about it. Just another example.

If it was a physical disc, you'd have to send it in to sony or ubisoft and they'd have to send you a replacement. That can be a long, tedious, headache inducing process.

With digital distribution, as soon as they discover the fix they can deliver it to you within hours.

There are a lot of valid reasons to dislike digital distribution, but this isn't one of them.

Select the connectivity option from the AC:2 menus. Load up bloodlines on PSP, connect systems with usb, go to upgrades on bloodlines and select connect, its on the bottom left part of the screen I think.

that's ignorant. A 360 just puts u back facing it. A 180 would let u walk away.

I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to agree with the majority here: a 360, would place right back where you were, while a 180 would successfully turn your around.

It happens to the best of us.

That troll line didn't originate on Gametrailers, it's been around since the launch of the 360. I can't imagine people still haven't heard this meme. It probably started on 4chan for all we know. In any case....

No I mean Sony. It's Sonys responsibility to make sure it works properly before they put it on there storefront.

It's Ubisofts job to fix it, but Sony should have caught it b4 they even made it available.

So ya. Sony fails....again

Actually...in this case, I'm fairly certain Bane is right. While, yes, the blame lies partly with Ubisoft, it's also Sony's fault. There's a certain expectation that they will ensure that the files being put on their network will /work/.

Granted, I speak without knowing the testing structure there, but ideally, there would be two rounds of QA--one with Ubisoft before it's submitted to Sony, and one with Sony before it's posted for sale.

The folks who manage Sony's online store seriously dropped the ball here. I can't believe that they didn't test the game before they listed it. It's their responsibility to make sure that Ubisoft, or any game developer, doesn't try to sell a game that has bugs. Clearly the people at Sony are a bunch of worthless degenerate shitheads who can't do anything right, much unlike my saintly paragon geniuses at Microsoft/Nintendo/other.

No, not really, and I don't think developers really stress it anymore. If something is glitched, for whatever reason, they can just release a patch and fix it.

To add more salt to the wound, they've fixed the game on the store; but people who downloaded it already (like me and countless others, I posted the video) must wait for download codes from SONY to be able to download the fixed version!!! How's that for early adopter bliss?

I don't understand. Why can't you just redownload the game? If the file that is there on the PS Store now is the fixed version, wouldn't redownloading solve your problem? What would a code be for? You already have the right to download any number of times any game you've already paid for.

Sony, leading us into the future of digital distribution. An Army of One.

Sony, I had the grandest wet dream the other night. My PSP Go that can't play a bunch of titles because they haven't been uploaded, was hanging on a frozen screen of LBP that I can't download yet, and stuck in Home, while PSN was down. I had to change my sheets, and even wet vac the floor. It was intense.

Here's to hoping Sony can get their dial-up modem back up and running so they can join the internets.

got to wait til "next week" supposedly while anyone getting it now CAN play it!

sony are blaming ubisoft, ubisoft blame sony.

i think its ubisoft at fault. doesnt work on 6.10 or 6.20 which for me means they havent even bothered testing the download version before release!

That would be the logical thing, but SONY inexplicably made a new entry in the store. In fact the original download was 700+ MB and the new one is 500+ MB. So we're left waiting for a download code to download the new, functional version. Mind you, this was posted on a forum; no one has emailed the buyers or contacted them in any way!

That sounds like poor management of their database. Some guy added a new entry instead of having their programmers or DBAs update the existing entry to point to the new file path (if that even changed) and have the new file size in the product description. I sympathize with you.

I agree with the first post... Digital Distribution should not be the wave of the future.. on music maybe.. but on a game that would take hours to download on a normal DSL connection.. NO! not everyone has the fastest of connections.. and never will. Plus you waste time downloading a what.. 350mb.. 1 gig.. whatever size.. and then it doesn't work. No thank you. I'd rather have the disc in hand. If it doesn't work take it back,..

Well, I had a very rare issue with my UMD copy here in America, it simply would not work past the PSP splash screen. Tried it with 2 different PSPs, one on 6.10 and the other on 5.50 GEN D-2, with no luck. While I wait for Ubisoft to send me a new UMD, I downloaded it as an iso. While I guess that's technically piracy, I don't really give a rat's ass. I love the game, I recommend anyone who's on the fence about it to buy it. Stuff like this makes me glad my PSP's a 1001, and not a GO, because I'd have no way of playing it otherwise.
