WRUP: We game in peace. Always.

We are of peace. Always."
-- Anna
- Alexander Sliwinski (@XanderSliwinski): I will make my way through Gay Tony, also really need to try Torchlight.
- Andrew Yoon (@scxzor): I really hope I play games this weekend
- Ben Gilbert (@BigBossBgilbert): I'm forging a murderous trail of revenge through 15th Century Florence ... and if I can find the time, I guess I'll play some video games. I was thinking Flower, maybe? Just joshin'! It's Assassin's Creed 2 all weekend long, friends!
- Christopher Grant (@ChrisGrant): ...
- David Hinkle (@DaveHinkle): Modern Warfare 2 is always buzzing in my ear, telling me where the tangos are at. But, my true goal for the conclusion of this week is to start and finish Assassin's Creed 2, with some Borderlands sprinkled in as a palette cleanser between sessions. I'm a level 41 Siren and close to getting all of the Achievements in the game, so I wanna find those Claptraps and get to level 50 before I start some new characters for their skill-specific Achievements. Oh, and the game totally robbed me of the 12 Days in Pandora, Blood on the Tires and elemental kill-specific 'cheevos, so I need to go for those with a new character.
- Griffin McElroy (@griffinmcelroy): I'll be playing Call of Duty: Borderlands 4 Dead Tactics A2 vs. 100: Dark Cloud edition. That is to say, I'll be playing all of those games at an expedient rate, which will make them seem like one. I'll let you know how it goes.
- James Ransom-Wiley: Doing my darndest to forgo the Assassin's Creed ... during my dear friend's wedding.
- JC Fletcher (@jcfletcher): Phantasy Star Zero continues to delight me. But now New Super Mario Bros. Wii is here, and I don't know what I'm going to do with all this delight. There's too much delight in this house!
- Justin McElroy (@JustinMcElroy): With Wirehead and Dracula Unleashed finally behind me, I can finally move on to more modern FMV games like Gabriel Knight II: The Beast Within. Oh graphics, why did I ever waste my time with you?
- Kevin Kelly (@gadgetguy): I'm at Board Game Geek Con in Dallas, where they have more board games than I could ever imagine. Seriously, their checkout library looks like the Smithsonian for game geeks. So far the most popular title is Dungeon Lords where you're a dungeon owner trying to outfit your dungeon with traps, monsters, etc. I may never come home.
- Ludwig Kietzmann (@LudwigK): I'm pretty sure life is setting me up for a debilitating fall if it has granted me a chilly, rainy weekend with Dragon Age: Origins, Assassin's Creed 2 and Star Trek on Blu-ray. I'll become unbearably paranoid if pancakes also show up.
- Randy Nelson (@DangerPenguin) It's a "His & Hers" weekend here at the ranch. Hers: God of War Collection and New Super Mario Bros. Wii. His: Assassin's Creed II, Modern Warfare 2 and the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 multiplayer beta. Now two figure out which half of the TV is mine, and which half is hers ...
- Richard Mitchell (@SenseiRAM): Modern Warfare 2 has thus far impressed. That game has more dramatic jumping moments than any other game in recent memory. As in, other characters yelling "JUMP!" at you. Beyond that, it'll be Torchlight and maybe some Demon's Souls. Then it's time for GOTY slogging.

Been playing Tales of Vesperia. It's totally exceeded my expectations in every way.

Justin, Wirehead is a masterpiece. Try Sewer Shark next.

It's pretty great isn't it? I could not put it down when i first bought it. I think I did absolutely everything in that game. Ever.
jcj2391 @ Nov 20th 2009 9:05PM
let's the game begin
sonicspike41 @ Nov 20th 2009 9:10PM
Well since I already beat the story of Ass Creed 2, and Uncharted 2 finally arrived after getting "lost" in the mail, looks like it'll be plenty of Nathan Drake here.
For the times when I just feel like laying down and watching TV, I've been going through all the episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist recently. That should keep me busy enough.

GOD OF WAR
Silent Protagonist @ Nov 20th 2009 9:14PM
I'm tearing through Assassin's Creed Uno, Shadow Hearts: Covenant, Infinite Undiscovery, God of War 3 demo, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 beta (if I can get in), Shin Megami Tensei: Persona PSP, Castlevania: Protrait of Ruin, Lost Season 2, and finally I started reading Cerebus the Aardvark. I managed to snag the first graphic novel for $20 and I have to say it's pretty good. I might just tear into the Maxx since I just got the last volume of the graphic novel set. It's wierd, but I've been on this retro/indie comic book binge of late. Another one I've been meaning to read but haven't gotten around to is BONE.
By the way, I somehow managed to get ahold of a second GOW3 demo code.
MTB3-N3BT-6NH3. Hope whoever gets it enjoys it. I think the 6 is a 6 in the code. If that isn't it, try 'G'. I always have a hard time reading these stupid codes.
Alton Brown (Now With Mystic Eyes of Death Perception!) @ Nov 20th 2009 9:27PM
Bone is EXCELLENT.
Markez @ Nov 20th 2009 9:28PM
Gat dammit. Sure enough I fire the thing up to quick try and throw the code in and I have to deal with 10 minutes of updates first.
Markez @ Nov 20th 2009 9:17PM
I'm playing find a new apartment this weekend, hurray. Any likely gaming will be done late night while sauced. Seeing the post for Kane & Lynch 2 kinda makes me want to go back and play that again to scoop up some left behind cheevos. I'm a big fan of the original.
johnnynumber5 @ Nov 20th 2009 9:21PM
Damn thats brutal bro ... you surely at least made her feel like crap for doing it didn't you? Accidentally let her declawed cat outside, misplaced her childhood teddy bear or something to that effect.

I concur!
johnnynumber5 @ Nov 20th 2009 10:01PM
You should me and my son spaz out to this song lol (the last one on the list my fiance suggested)
She sings from somewhere you can't see
She sits in the top of the greenest tree
She sends out an aroma of undefined love
It drips on down in a mist from above
She's just the girl, just the girl
That u want
She's just the girl, just the girl
That u want
You hear her calling everywhere you turn
You know you're headed for the pleasure burn
But the words get stuck on the tip of your tongue
She's the real thing but you knew it all along
She's just the girl, just the girl
That u want
She's just the girl, just the girl
That u want
Look at you with your mouth watering
Look at you with your mind reeling
Why don't we just admit it's all over
Just the girl u want
She's just the girl, just the girl
That u want
She's just the girl, just the girl
That u want
She sings from somewhere you can't see
She sits in the top of the greenest tree
She sends out an aroma of undefined lust
It drips on down in a mist from above
She's just the girl, just the girl
That u want
She's just the girl, just the girl
That u want
Look at you with your mouth watering
Look at you with your mind spinnin'
Why don't we just admit it's all over
Just the girl u want
She's just the girl, just the girl
That u want
She's just the girl, just the girl
That u want
She's just the girl, just the girl
That u want
She's just the girl, just the girl

Mostly Assassins Creed 2 for me and I'll also be playing Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 as well as the God Of War compilation that I traded in Modern Warfare 2 for ... also picked up the Assassins Creed Bloodlines on the PSP and I might get around to that if my fiance can get away from Little Big Planet on the PSP for 5 minutes. Oh and of course the Battlefield Bad Company 2 Beta. Man that BC2 is going to be the definitive multiplayer FPS when it releases. It's reaaaaaaly good.
I'll probably check out the Andre Ward vs Mikkel Kessler super 6 boxing match tomorrow and maybe UFC 106 if I get really bored tomorrow night.
Levi @ Nov 20th 2009 10:21PM
duuuuuuuuude I just beat Sigma 1, and now I NEED Sigma 2. Sigma was sooooo good. I just got Ninja Gaiden 2 (NES) complete, gotta find 1 and 3 now.
tmacairjordan87 @ Nov 20th 2009 9:19PM
GoW collection, MW2, Assassin's Creed 2 and the GoW 3 demo which is stunning to play. Debating whether I should cancel my Crystal Chronicles preorder to put towards something I know for a 100% fact will be great, like Splinter Cell or God Of War 3, as that game is starting to not look very good at all.
Mr Khan @ Nov 20th 2009 10:28PM
Seems like it would be right up your alley, aside from the fact that it's thematically oozing with all that typical FF teeny-bopper angst. No level-up system, less linear (linear story, but a focus on exploration and experimentation)
Primarily, it seems to be a hybrid between Prototype/Infamous and the existing Crystal Chronicles sub-genre
Marius Returns @ Nov 20th 2009 9:20PM
I really got into V, Anna is great
I'll play some Uncharted 2
and I will probably delete the BF:BC 2 Beta
johnnynumber5 @ Nov 20th 2009 9:21PM
Don't like Bad Company 2?
Marius Returns @ Nov 20th 2009 9:23PM
no, it felt like I was playing a wash down version of Killzone 2. The vehicles and destructible building are great but other than that I didnt enjoy
deaftly (PSN,LIVE,STEAM) @ Nov 20th 2009 9:23PM
I thought it was ok, nothing that would honestly make me excited for the full game.
johnnynumber5 @ Nov 20th 2009 9:26PM
Different strokes for different folks and all that ... I personally loved it but then again I played the snot out of the first one on 360 and even a tad on PS3. Something about those expansive environments that is really compelling for me. After playing the MAG Beta as well (also really good) it's going to be a tough choice for me. I'm leaning towards BFBC2 at this point, though. Modern Warfare 2 didn't do it for me at all but alas when I'm playing BFBC2 all feels good in the world.
Prof. Von Manifest (aka the caterpillar in your buttermilk) [PSN: Manifest37] @ Nov 20th 2009 9:33PM
Amen, Marius!
I just go the beta & I'm definitely not feeling it.
I spend most of the time running across the map, only to be surprised by a hiding enemy & then doing it all over again.
MW2 definitely knows what it's doing.
Prof. Von Manifest (aka the caterpillar in your buttermilk) [PSN: Manifest37] @ Nov 20th 2009 9:38PM
go = got
I think what really turns me off about BC2 is the way you die & the view of the person that killed you.
The Dark Wayne [Planeteer: Power of the Batusi] ATDFs Financier and Batman @ Nov 20th 2009 9:55PM
what do you mean prof? Did they add a killcam to BC2?
johnnynumber5 @ Nov 20th 2009 10:04PM
"MW2 definitely knows what it's doing."
We'll have to agree to disagree on that point.
Prof. Von Manifest (aka the caterpillar in your buttermilk) [PSN: Manifest37] @ Nov 20th 2009 10:56PM
Oh ho hooo yes! Is funny because he not like killcam so he say opposite!
Oh ho hoo!!
But seriously, I love the killcam. It let's me know if someone knows what their doing or is they just got lucky. Like peeking at their strategy. I also love it cuz sometimes I stand behind people for 5 seconds so all they see on my killcam is me waiting to kill them.
johnnynumber5 @ Nov 20th 2009 11:04PM
Was that directed at me?
My problem wasn't the kill cam it was the matchmaking and my shit skills at the game. Match me up with people my own level and not people 4-5x my level each round and I'd of been content to keep plugging away. As it were I could never get into a groove because I was constantly killed by helicopters, jets and bombs.
Prof. Von Manifest (aka the caterpillar in your buttermilk) [PSN: Manifest37] @ Nov 20th 2009 11:24PM
No Johnny, that was for Wayne.
I understand some of the frustration; I usually break even with kills/deaths. I would highly recommend playing before 3pm on weekdays. Any other time & you're just begging to get schooled by the youngens.
The Dark Wayne [Planeteer: Power of the Batusi] ATDFs Financier and Batman @ Nov 21st 2009 12:07AM
no that was a genuine question, i dont have a PS3 so i dont know about BC2, does BC2 have a killcam now? Cause thatd be great
Prof. Von Manifest (aka the caterpillar in your buttermilk) [PSN: Manifest37] @ Nov 21st 2009 12:49AM
Just when I thought I'd figured out sarcasm...
No, it has no killcam, but when you die you're able to be revived which is great. If you loved 1943 & BC, you're gonna wanna marry BC2.
I didn't really care for BC but enjoyed 1943 (probably cuz of the map size).
The Dark Wayne [Planeteer: Power of the Batusi] ATDFs Financier and Batman @ Nov 21st 2009 1:11AM
well dang that's disappointing, killcam is one of my favorite parts of CoD, but I guess not having one will make my sniping all the easier
Sly @ Nov 20th 2009 9:21PM
MW2 for the next week. level 57 now, hoping to get around halfway through 1st prestige by the end of it. also planning to pick up god of war collection and R&C:F since my birthday is next saturday.
Sly @ Nov 20th 2009 9:40PM
also: looking forward to getting to level 67 especially, since i get the model 1887 then. with stopping power, steady aim, and akimbo (and sleight to round it out i guess), it's the BEST shotgun in the game EASILY. it's also badass since the cocking animation is crazy cool.

Just got New Super Mario Bros. Wii today and played it with my sister and a friend (sometimes I was playing alone, sometimes we were playing together). We just beat world 6-3 after about 4 hours total of play, I think.
Goood stuff.

And then there's that game I'm developing.

Modern Warfare 2, Torchlight and some World In Conflict...
might pop in and out of Uncharted 2, Metal Gear Online and Dystopia

Right now im finishing up Gears 2 coop campaign on insane that id neglected for months with my friend from WoW, once that's finished if there's time i think ill play Dead Space deep into the night. Then the rest of the weekend, and probably the week will be spent with Assassin's Creed 2 and Dragon Age, maybe a little L4D2 as well, but i am completely fed up with the director, that one part in the ticket line to get to the saferoom before the finale level? BRUTAL! Infinite zombies! What the fuck! I might actually play the original instead
