Mystery VGA teaser revealed as Spec Ops

Originally, the title was claimed by EGM rumor mill "Quartermann" to be in development in the shuttered magazine's July 2008 issue. 1UP claims the title to be confirmed by the 90-second teaser trailer that we've dropped after the break. We'd suggest checking it out simply for the fact that it contains more footage than the teaser from yesterday, but the fact that Björk is involved makes us all the more inclined to recommend a viewing. For those of you thirsting for more, your next chance to see the game will be at 2009's world exclusive-filled VGAs. We've contacted 2K Games for comment and will update this post if we hear more.

okay, I just watched it the second time, and this time the entire video stopped shorter than before (the first time I watched it there was like 10 extra seconds and it ended with a shot of a human skull)

Spec Ops is among the worst series I've ever played. It's always been nothing but bargain bin trash, a poor man's Rainbow Six. Reboot or not, they'd be better off starting with a new IP instead of trying to market this garbage. Even if the game turns out well, the name will always be a stigma.

You get to write it off once, unless you are as big as the Wall Street Journal.
IP = Intellectual Property. It also means Internet Protocol, but common sense deems that the casual mention of IP on a gaming discussion means the former unless followed by "address."

Can somebody please explain to me what's so bad ass about this? Like I don't get it. I feel like it's a totally bad ass trailer, and I'm enjoying watching it like a totally bad ass trailer, and I'm now interested in the game like a totally bad ass trailer is supposed to do, but I don't get why.

I remember the first Spec Ops being awesome. Haven't played it in ten years, and never played the sequels, so I have no idea if I should be excited.

If its cheap on the sales floor the game will move. All I remember of the Spec-Op's game is moderate graphic's and being really cheap at the time, like $9.99. If they want to impress me have a option to go from 1st person to 3rd person and a multi-tiered branching storyline to increase playablity. Oh and obviously great online.
