Amazon pre-Black Friday 'lightning deals' begin today [update 2]

Everyone's favorite Amazonian retailer (after leafcladmailorderbrides.com, of course) has revealed a handful of hints for its pre-Black Friday selection of "Lightning Deals." Starting today at 9AM PST, Amazon will be offering games ranging from ... well, we don't really know, now do we? CheapAssGamer believes the first hint to indicate New Play Control Pikmin. Check out the hints for yourself below and feel free to speculate away in the comment section, you big speculator you. We'll update the deals as the day goes on.

I'm simultaneously very amused and very creeped out.

whenever a black friday arrives I kind of remember the tv-series chuck lol. wherein all the nerd-herds are there waiting the people to come as if its like war. The only time wherein you can see bravia tv-sets go as far as 60% off.

perhaps Motorola Droid for 99 dollars :D.. and a 50 inch bravia + Xbox 360 for 999 USD will be the sweetest.

If you feel that 20 bucks is worth fighting the crowds at walmart, they are selling it for 50 on friday. Just throwing it out there.

I was disappointed when the Walmart thing didn't turn out to be RB2 and I distinctly remember saying to myself that I would buy the RB2 set for 80 dollars no questions asked. Then this popped up and solved the problem.

Even if they were selling RB2 for $50 at Wal-Mart or Best Buy, I'd have probably gotten it on Amazon anyway. $20 more is a small price to pay for avoiding the massive tard-dom that will reign supreme on Black Friday. My RB2 Special Edition comes in Wednesday. :)

Might pick up Rock Band 2. Just gave away my 360 (along with my RB2 stuff and 352 DLC songs tied to my account). Definitely miss it. LBP is great fun, but nowhere near as flexible when playing with a room full of people. Do the PS3 instruments still require the dongle to work?

$70 RB SE is tempting but I'm gonna assume the prices will get even better on black friday or cyber monday.

Not likely. The only other BF deal in this ballpark is the RB1 special edition for $50 at Wal-Mart. And good luck with that one.

And by "good luck with that one" I hope you mean "fuck that one" - RB2 at $70 is much better. Trust me on this one.

I have never played a music game such as Rockband, should I consider it at this price?

My walmart doesn't even have rock band 1 anymore.

Their dvd and blu rays are a lot better, particularly tv shows.

First has to be either Call of Duty: World At War, or Medal of Honor Heroes 2. I'm inclined to go with the former

I hope not! Something told me to wait until Black Friday, I already bought two of those for Christmas.

Also, EA Sports Active is $40 all day, if that's your thing...
