Bayonetta demo available in North America and Europe Dec. 3

Finally, a chance to play Bayonetta for those of us who never got around to setting up Japanese PSN accounts or Sega Passes. Sega announced that the demo for Platinum Games' torturiffic action game will be available on Xbox Live and PSN, in North America and Europe, on December 3.

With this demo, you'll be able to gauge the limits of your Bayonetta fandom. Maybe you'll like it enough to buy it. Maybe you'll like it enough to buy the PAL limited edition. Or enough to import the PAL limited edition (for North American gamers). Or maybe you'll freak out about Bayonetta and feel compelled to import the Australian limited edition. This is why demos are so important: you can make sure you actually like the game before you bring yet another fancy plastic foot-pistol into your home.

I'm really looking forward to this crazy game!

I got a free demo code from the gamespot website. The game was pretty slick, but parts of it were incoherent and really confusing. I just mashed buttons because I could not even tell where my character was half of the time. The second demo level, the metro, was much better and was a lot of fun. The "boss" fights are very simple, but it does make you feel like a badass.

I agree. The boss fight was hella fun. I mean, what's better than stripping a chick naked, summoning a giant hair monster, and then the hair monster proceeding to eat the boss?

I've been hyped for this game since I played it at PAX09!

i've had this demo for about a month and a half now... it's been on the japanese psn for that long..... go find it!!!! it's sick.

After Edge and Kotaku gave it perfect scores I am really psyched to try the demo.

I already played the 360 demo. Fileplanet was giving out (maybe still is?) demo keys.

It. Is. Absolutely. Amazing.

Super fast paced, controls work great, and... and....

NOTHING MADE SENSE. AT ALL. NOT EVEN REMOTELY.

It was glorious. Definitely knocked it up near the top on my 'To Buy' list.

How embarassing. Don't worry, it happens to all of the demos.

Am I the only one who never really had an interest in this game...but played the Japanese demo just to see what the hype was about, only to be amazed at how BAD it is?

Its DMC, but bigger and better.
Why did you think it was bad?

I wasn't very impressed with the demo. It was just ok IMO.

What Liked:
-Controls felt genuinely different from DMC.
-Cool Boss battles

What I didn't like:
-Horrible J-pop
-levels felt empty
-WTF story (sorry, but that's a negative for me)
-feeling a sense of deja vu. I felt like I played the game before (DMC)

I wonder if the demo will be the same as the JP one. Hopefully not, I need more Climax Action =<

Really? Their standards have gone down a bit over the last couple years(!) that I've read the blog, but they're much better than most out there.

You will love this game after you play the demo of it. I have the demo on my console and it is amazing. Hope you all like it as much as I do.

I hope the PS3 version has the missing clocktower segment. Not that it really matters. It´ll be there when I buy it. :P

Seriously. I played the demo non-stop for a few weeks.

Would have gotten it off the JP marketplace if I cared about it.

I dug the Japanese version that released for the PS3...but I don't speak Japaneses so reading the text was just not going to happen. Good thing the voice acting was in English. That demo was quite a surprise for me. I didn't expect to actually like it after being staunch against a DMC rehash. I think this game will get my dough and I will DEFINITELY be playing the US demo next week.

Yay, Bayonetta demo on my birthday! Can't wait to try it out! ^^

I'm really debating on if I should just import the PS3 version. I mean, it's worse than the 360 one, but there's nothing else coming out in December and it would free up money for the Jan/Feb/March wallet-rape.

This game is so sick it made me throw up.
But in a good way.
