Revenge of the Wounded Dragons side-scrolling onto PSN tomorrow, Nov. 24

Wounded Dragons appears to feature a more involved combo system than its forebears, though, along with modern niceties like Trophies, custom soundtracks and leaderboards. Like NES fighters, however, the game is limited to local play -- yes, despite, ironically, being published by SOE. Revenge of the Wounded Dragons will be released on the PlayStation Store tomorrow, November 24, for $9.99. Hit the break to watch the trailer.

For a brief crazy second when I saw the picture I thought...Bayou Billy 2 HD! :(
zod000 @ Nov 23rd 2009 2:44PM
Bayou Billy! That game was pretty tough to beat, I loved/hated the sad attempt at the voice clips in that game. The levels where you could use the zapper would pretty decent though (even if it was easier just to use the controller).
comptonassjuan @ Nov 23rd 2009 2:56PM
holy crap, bayou billy! massive flashbacks
johnnynumber5 @ Nov 23rd 2009 2:41PM
"super co-operative combo fun!"
Sounds ... awesome. I'm down if it's $9.99 ... I passed on that Han Tao or whatever it was called so I won't miss out on this if its reasonably priced.
That damn Burn Zombie Burn In Space DLC better be released tomorrow or I'll be pissed. They've burnt me every week and I suspect this won't be any different.
Phil @ Nov 23rd 2009 2:43PM
That looks kinda bad-ass.
Strategy_Panda @ Nov 23rd 2009 2:45PM
ALL ASIAN PEOPLE KNOW KA-RA-TE!
just thought I would mention that
johnnynumber5 @ Nov 23rd 2009 3:13PM
Holy SHIT it's Panda!
Hey man you back for good?
Missed you around these parts.
Jerses @ Nov 23rd 2009 2:45PM
Doesnt look good. Too much action dialogue but then all i see is punch punch kick jump kick....I'll wait for the review. Also the art is kind of lame :P im from Mexico and those drawings look like our public school books. But i have to give them credits, its a latin game.
Yan @ Nov 23rd 2009 2:45PM
Looks pretty fun but I'm not too hot about the life bars.
Ghaleon @ Nov 23rd 2009 3:11PM
Do you mean they look ugly, or you are a pussy and don't want life bars?
Space @ Nov 23rd 2009 4:33PM
dems fightin' words!
Yan @ Nov 23rd 2009 6:20PM
The visual representation, of course. I'm not sure why one would want to play a title in which you're invulnerable the entire way through. Unless they're going the other route and make it so that one dies after a hit or two. Having said that, that's manly.
8-bit.artist @ Nov 23rd 2009 3:04PM
i was a little excited for this game when it was on the esrb since im a big fan of the old school double dragons, (super double dragon for snes is still really fun to this day. catching someones punch and then repeatedly kicking them in the face. awesome.) but the lack of online is pretty lame and i dont dig the art style at all. seems pretty bland to me. ill pass.

I can't think of a worse name for a company than A2M.
eNrique @ Nov 23rd 2009 3:15PM
Sorry, but why?
Levi (God Hand Defense Force) @ Nov 23rd 2009 3:19PM
A2M also means ass to mouth.
You never go ass to mouth!
isItjustme @ Nov 23rd 2009 6:23PM
Would A2A be better? Time to bust out the flashlights and blow! (+10 points for anyone who gets the reference)
KingOfGods @ Nov 23rd 2009 8:04PM
Oh, I know it's pretty baby but i didn't take it out for air
Filthy Assistant @ Nov 23rd 2009 8:36PM
A2A would at least remind me of Jennifer Connelly and that's never a bad thing.
Courtney @ Nov 23rd 2009 3:13PM
The complete lack of marketing or discussion of this game has me kind of concerned. I love co-op brawlers, but no way I'm getting this until I see how people receive it.
eNrique @ Nov 23rd 2009 3:18PM
Looks like a total rip off of Double Dragon.
I think I'll pass on this one, instead I'll be picking up Gravity Crash tomorrow.
acefondu @ Nov 23rd 2009 3:31PM
It looks worse than Double Dragon, this doesn't even have a 3D plane, this is only left to right. So lame.
Yan @ Nov 23rd 2009 3:35PM

That level looks like one of the levels from one of the older tekkens.
funkyellowmonkey(ps3 id) @ Nov 23rd 2009 4:03PM
Reminds me of Bruce Lee on the C64 with revamped graphics no doubt!... ;)
D Stapes @ Nov 23rd 2009 5:19PM
so, n00b question...are all PSN releases coming out tomorrow because of thanksgiving or have some things, RoWD and Borderlands expansion, been listed incorrectly?
Traceur_Ryuk [Founder of The Anti-EMCB(tm) and co-leader of ATDF] (PSN: Ryuk_shinigami) @ Nov 23rd 2009 7:32PM
Pretty sure the weekly update has been moved back be because of Thanksgiving
D Stapes @ Nov 23rd 2009 8:26PM
thank you very much for your non-douchey response. +

I'm living in Europe right now so its hard to comment on breaking news.
However, I'm trying to make an effort to bring the funny
Rollingthunder @ Nov 24th 2009 6:36AM
This looks decent. Miss the old school side scrolling beat em ups such as Streerts of Rage. Hope this comes to Europe ASAP. Also think it would make a decent PSP game as well.
