A few days after its mysterious appearance on the ESRB database, the Sony Online Entertainment–published Revenge of the Wounded Dragons has been fully revealed -- and it's coming out this week. Tomorrow, in fact! Developed by A2M-owned Wanako Games, Wounded Dragons wears its inspirations on its sleeve, with a rescue-your-girlfriend story straight out of Double Dragon and single-file waves of enemies à la Kung Fu.
Wounded Dragons appears to feature a more involved combo system than its forebears, though, along with modern niceties like Trophies, custom soundtracks and leaderboards. Like NES fighters, however, the game is limited to local play -- yes, despite, ironically, being published by SOE. Revenge of the Wounded Dragons will be released on the PlayStation Store tomorrow, November 24, for $9.99. Hit the break to watch the trailer.
Bayou Billy! That game was pretty tough to beat, I loved/hated the sad attempt at the voice clips in that game. The levels where you could use the zapper would pretty decent though (even if it was easier just to use the controller).
Sounds ... awesome. I'm down if it's $9.99 ... I passed on that Han Tao or whatever it was called so I won't miss out on this if its reasonably priced.
That damn Burn Zombie Burn In Space DLC better be released tomorrow or I'll be pissed. They've burnt me every week and I suspect this won't be any different.
Doesnt look good. Too much action dialogue but then all i see is punch punch kick jump kick....I'll wait for the review. Also the art is kind of lame :P im from Mexico and those drawings look like our public school books. But i have to give them credits, its a latin game.
The visual representation, of course. I'm not sure why one would want to play a title in which you're invulnerable the entire way through. Unless they're going the other route and make it so that one dies after a hit or two. Having said that, that's manly.
i was a little excited for this game when it was on the esrb since im a big fan of the old school double dragons, (super double dragon for snes is still really fun to this day. catching someones punch and then repeatedly kicking them in the face. awesome.) but the lack of online is pretty lame and i dont dig the art style at all. seems pretty bland to me. ill pass.
The complete lack of marketing or discussion of this game has me kind of concerned. I love co-op brawlers, but no way I'm getting this until I see how people receive it.

so, n00b question...are all PSN releases coming out tomorrow because of thanksgiving or have some things, RoWD and Borderlands expansion, been listed incorrectly?
This looks decent. Miss the old school side scrolling beat em ups such as Streerts of Rage. Hope this comes to Europe ASAP. Also think it would make a decent PSP game as well.
