I guess I'm not surprised. I'm pretty sure there's a law in Japan where it's now mandatory to buy a new DS every 8-12 months or so.

Jesus Christ. I mean is there some type of law requiring all Japanese citizens to own at least three different versions of a Nintendo handheld?

yeah, i really don't know why, but it pisses me off how the japanese gobble up the same old shit. it seems if it were up to them, all gaming would consist of only turn based anime jrpgs on a DS. it really makes me wonder if they buy the same game at least 3 times to go with their 3 systems. i know that prolly isn't the case, but i still wonder...

1. Japan is the 1st and only country where the DSi LL is officially launched (11/21).

2. ON THE SAME DAY, all over ASIA the DSi LL is already available in game shops.

With the WHOLE ASIA (esp. China) taking stock, 100K+ doesn`t seem like a big number any more.

you would think at this point in time nintendo has their own currency. In time it could over power the yen.

I for one welcome the day the DS takes over from the Big Mac and the iPod as the international measure of relative currency valuation.

Or...y'know...they could've made it umm...affordable...but I suppose bigger might've made some difference...

If it comes to the USA, the only way I'd buy one is if its available in a purple/lavender color and my ds phat breaks. I already have a PINK DS LITE (not the metallic rose) but I like to DS to DS between AC:WW games or Pokemon games. So, that's the ONLY way I'd get it (if my red phat breaks).

DSLite cheaper than the PSP by 30 bucks or so, but the DSi is about the same price.

I would want one of these, but I won't shell out the beans for it. Those big screens look awesome.
