Flower, Comet Crash & other PSN titles half-price this week

It seems the PlayStation Store got a little jealous of the brick-and-mortar retailers who were offering discounts during this week of ~~Black Friday~~ Thanksgiving. Beginning with today's specially-dated Tuesday PSN update, a handful of downloadable PS3 titles will be offered for half-price until December 2. Here's a list of the encheapened games, and their temporarily slimmed-down prices:

Bomberman Ultra – $4.99
Comet Crash – $4.99
Flower – $4.99
Invincible Tiger: The Legend of Han Tao – $7.49
The Last Guy – $4.99
Prince of Persia Classic – $4.99
Smash Cars – $7.49

You'll hate yourself if you put down one cent on Invincible Tiger. It is a truly terrible game.

You should love it, I know I did. It's very peaceful and relaxing, and just kind of simple fun.

This is the moment I've been waiting for buying Flower. I'll be grabbing it right now ^^

Yeah, I highly recommend it too. The atmosphere and graphics are relaxing/impressive for sure. The UI is so simple it's delicious. Definitely worth the original retail or sale price!

Lots of people describe Flower as relaxing, but that's really only part of it. It also has desolation, triumph, loneliness, hope, exhilaration (not in that order). If you play through the whole "narrative," you'll see that it truly is as thatgamecompany describes, a poem. Much like there are tone poems, this is an interactive audiovisual poem. That is also why I don't agree with the complaints that it's "too short." For what it wants to express, it's about the right length. If it were a lot longer, the meaning would become diluted, and it would be less of a poem. If you enjoy a Robert Frost poem, you don't whine that it should be longer; you just read it again.

I've stuck by this all year and I will continue to stick by it. Flower is my Game of the year.

Flower was excellent, I don't think I've ever played anything as simply beautiful. I wish the game had a bit more replay value though.

ive never fancied Flower, i just dont get the whole navigate petals thing... havent dug into it either, but since its had so much praise from you guys, i guess ill give it a try

You control them with the sixaxis. If you're not really the "artsy" type you might not like it.

Flower is the absolute highlight of the year for the PSN (and arguably much better than many full titles I've played this year). You really can't spend a better five bucks on the PSN.

I'm jumping on the bandwagon. I've been interested in Flower for a long time but have been waiting for a price drop.

just get it. It's not your typical game, but everybody I talk to, and myself, really enjoy it. $5 is a good price for it if you're on the fence.

It's always cheaper if buy it from the US dude! Since to companies like Sony 1€=$1, we have to outsmart them to get the best deal!

$4.99 (US Price) + $0.42 (US Tax) = $5.41 < $7.45 = 4.99€ (EU Price)

Makes me wonder why fat princess wasnt at 10$ to begin with. Most psn games are. Its like if they sold a game for 11.99$. Its like wtf ?

The Last Guy for $4.99 is one helluva deal.

I think I'll be getting Prince Of Persia classic and thats about it seeing as how I own the two best games on the list in Flower and Last Guy.

I was about to get Flower last week, but I decided to wait for any Holiday specials. Good thing I waited, now I can get Flower and Comet Crash!

Fucking sweet, I've been wanting to play Comet Crash but it felt like too much for a game with no online coop. $5 is the perfect price for it, even if I haven't played it before.

Definitely flower. It doesn't hurt that it has arguably the best and most responsive implementation of motion controls on any system.

Which is really just paying for a Fable III announcement...and a few new items. That's it.

So, they're going to give better deals than they normally have?

There are no more good deals coming to Live, I think. I can't remember the last time there was a phenomenal deal on Live DLC....

God dammit.

I bought Flower no more than 12 hours before this.
At least it was free due to an Amazon credit :(

In other words, they've got an extra $5 to make thatgame3. Might be just enough to make it absolutely perfect!

Looks like I have no excuse not to but Bomberman and Flower now!

try the demo on the PS store if you like it i'd say $7.50 is a good price for it i have it you can expect about 6 hours of playtime from it and it has online as well

Definitely pick up Flower and Last Guy for $5. I'm not familiar with the rest of the list, though.

If this is available in Canada, Flower is a guarantee buy for me.

Bomberman is a maybe.

Never heard of Comet Crash, hopefully they have a demo.

I picked up Last Guy the last time it was on sale - great game, albeit a bit on the "too difficult" side at times.

I've been wanting to pick up flower for a while now and this seems to be the best, but is the deal good in Canada?

Flower is such a fucking emotional game. It isn't pretentious at all - anyone who disagrees has a clue.
