12-year-old Make-A-Wisher designs GameStop's holiday gift card

Rather than choosing something selfish like the opportunity to ride Donald Trump like a pony or a trip around the Moon with the original Apollo 11 astronauts, 12-year-old Make-A-Wish Foundation wish recipient Emily Adkins instead chose to give back to the foundation. In designing the Holiday 2009 GameStop gift card, Adkins secured $1 per card purchased (up to $100k) for the Make-A-Wish coffers.

Though the design will be featured amongst other gift cards this year, GameStop is offering the donation deal across all card designs. Any gift cards purchased from now until December 26 will go towards the donations, though none of the proceeds will bring Emily any closer to riding Donald Trump like a pony. Isn't that just a crime?

Funny enough with all of the people here making fun of her artistic ability the drawing is surprisingly well balanced. Solid focal point even if it was unintentional, haha. Personally, I like how it looks.

I actually don't think the drawing is too bad for a twelve year old. I suck at drawing, and probably couldn't do much better.

Most of these things look like total ass, and people say they look nice out of guilt. That one is actually not half bad. And, well, taking money from Gamestop is always a good thing. Too bad they can write it off...

What is funny is that this girl could probably draw better than most commenters, especially the jealous ones who are making fun of her drawing.

That looks like a bird to me. In fact, I would even go as far to say that it's a rather accurate depiction of a male northern cardinal from the perspective of a 12 year old child.

Not bad, anyway, and I doubt I could draw any better (along with, oh, let's say 40% of people on here. That's probably the same percentage who can't spell and/or use "should of" instead of "should've").
The mistletoe is a nice touch.

It's a cute picture and worth the money

All of you naysaying pricks can go collectively fuck yourselves. I know, having a drawing branded onto the giftcard of the largest videogame retailer on planet Earth might not seem like a big deal to you, but really, what could compare to what you were doing when you were 12?

There's a unique look to this drawing... very geometrical, like the work of Bob Boyle (Ying Yang Yo, Wubbsy). This style could improve dramatically with age and experience, but it appears that the artist won't get much time for her artwork to mature. :(
