@ Jerk Face,

I completely agree. I too am very much wanting to get the PS3 Bundle but Costco offers a forever Warranty so I'm stuck.

Better deals:

Best Buy:
PlayStation 3 (120GB) with Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time and LittleBigPlanet = $300.

Walmart:
PlayStation 3 (120GB) with inFamous, Batman AA and Dark Knight blu-ray = $300.

Even with these added games, I could go with Costco. When my PS2 purchased in late 2001 had disc read errors exactly a year later, Costco took it back and replaced it with no hassle. That unit then had the same issue two years later and Costco did the same thing.

I really don't trust the reliability of the 360 and PS3 and would purchase them from Costco to avoid any hassle.

they trying to make the PS3 bundle seem like more than what it is by making the God of War Collection into 2 separate games in the picture.....yes its 2 games, yes they are 2 GREAT games....

wait....what am I saying....

between those 2 system bundle choices the PS3 IS the better choice, Kratos kicks the ass of any of those games in the 360 bundle

But it's still nowhere near as good as the Walmart PS3 deal, which comes with Infamous, Arkham Asylum, and TDFK.

@shadow bender: If you think your PS3 won't give you any problems, I'd go with Walmart. (I don't like feeding gamestop.) If your patient, you can wait and see what Amazon has in store.

Best PS3 deal has to be a 46" Sony LCD with a free PS3 for $1000 from Sony Style. My buddy is getting it right now.

@ Latin Hmm, you're right. I honestly don't want to feed the crooks, but then again, I'm not a huge fan of Walmart, although I like their deal. It's up to Amazon or Best Buy now. It's tough.

The wal mart deal would be good but you're all forgetting 2 key factors.
1, Quantities are so limited, you're unlikely to actually get one.
2. You have to go to Wal Mart.

I was entering the Black Friday / Cyber Monday iPhone contest on http://bit.ly/6ZMY7F and saw they had some Black Friday Gamestop info http://www.sale.com/black-friday/game-stop. I can't wait to get my hands on the PS3 Holiday Bundle, but like Latin_Trident said, Costco's got that great warranty.

Hey hey hey... look...

I know Call of Duty 4 isn't as good as Bakugan but it certainly isn't as bad as a rusty folding chair.

you may be shocked to learn that sometimes parents buy video games for their kids

kids for whom bakugan may be a far more appropriate choice than COD4

Yeah, it's a misleading, but to be honest it really is two games on one disc. Plus, they are probably the best games of that generation. To be fair, is Lego Batman really a game?

The Batman Arkham Asylum . Infamous, Dark Knight PS3 bundle for 299 seems to be the better deal. Then again, you'd have to go to Walmart on Black Friday. which may not be worth that deal.

The 360 deal is terrible, shockingly bad for Black Friday. The PS3 deal is bad too.

I mean, you could get a 360 Arcade for effectively $100 from Wal-Mart two weeks ago!

I only own a Wii so far (money problems are the pits) but I would never buy a 360 Arcade system, even if money weren't a problem. That system really is a rip compared to spending just a bit more and getting the full 360 experience. To me, the 360/PS3 deals look VERY good this year. Particularly Gamestop and Best Buy.

Highlar:

Wait, what? A Wal Mart 360 Arcade for essentially $99 is a Rip?

You could add the 120Gb hard drive for $135. You could have even used the gift card to buy it.

Gets you what amounts to a white elite for $235. How is that possibly a bad thing?

I really don't have the money for it, but the 360/PS3 deals I'm seeing here, at Best Buy, and Walmart are making me want to just say SCREW the bills and go splurge the money. The sad thing is...I want it for MYSELF, and not for someone else. :( lol

They games included in the bundles are probably advertised as new, but in reality they are probably used copies covered in fingerprints and scratches, with missing manuals. At least that is how things usually went in all my past experiences at Gamestop... I don't shop there anymore.

I've had bad experiences too...The whole "pre-order to buy thing" really gets on my nerves. I know they have to save copies for the people that did pre-order it, but you don't have to do that with books, for example. If you pre-order, great, but I should still be able to get a copy of a game on first day without the whole pre-order BS.
