As if you needed another reason to love Assassin's Creed II, the video just below the break shows that it also contains our very favorite kind of squid: a secret squid. Apparently, staring into a pool in the last chamber of the Santa Maria Delle Visitazione for just under a minute will net you a visit from the sizable cephalopod you see in the image above.
Just as a warning, the video has a couple of instances of profanity. Why you'd want to sully such a beautiful moment is, frankly, beyond us.
Watchmen had a giant alien like tentacle creature. If you ever read the book you'd know it barely resembled a squid or an octopus.. Besides the tentacles obviously =P
And it was the size of times square, maybe bigger!
You'd do better comparing it to 20,000 Leauges Under the Sea.
I'm glad I saw this. I suck at finding easter eggs.. Now I know where to look. :D The only ones I recall finding out by myself were the "stare at meryl for some time" one in MGS, and seeing her in underwear. ... Yep.
If you are talking about the campaing I agree. But the truth is that I'm going to play AC2 for a couple of weeks, then I will play MW2 multiplayer for a couple of years.
I gotta agree. The pressure to levelup is a bit much for the multiplayer. I enjoyed the first one, but having played it some, I don't feel compelled to buy it anymore than L4D, which is more my style, anyway.
I heard about the easter egg through a forum user named Anthony. I thought it was BS, but decided to test it out and wanted to play with the camera. So I made preparations in case it was real. It obviously was, and I was pretty surprised. Apparently, you can't repeat it, though after the first time, according to some online.
It's just an Easter egg, dude, settle down. Trust me, u wouldn't be happy if every time u landed in the water, especially on that board where u WILL end up in there a few times, that this thing, uhh, "ate your ass". I really hope u, erm, don't like your ass eaten on the regular...
Again, it's just an Easter egg. Gaming devs do things like this a lot, since the beginning of gaming. Settle down. Nothing "stupid" about it, especially since the game is great. Took me a whole week to finish it because it was so addictive and that's only because the layoff bug got me. Otherwise, It could have taken me a month if I were still working.
I say go for it. It is LONG. I finished it last night and this is after buying it on release day and playing it religiously. I loved it. MUCH better than the first game. The story I didn't connect with much but still, it was a great ride. I got damn near everything and just need to finish all contracts and get 40 more of the feathers to get all 100. Not looking forward to that part, though. I may not do it unless I get a book or IGN completes it's guide.
As the only authority on what I meant to say, I did indeed mean to say confused (see my first response?!). It followed a "How" question and all. Additionally, with even a speck of ambiguity on my intended meaning, you were improper to assume one way or another. I know you have a big reputation on the internet to defend, but seriously.... lay off.
