PS3 owners will want to stay home on Black Friday. Why? Naughty Dog is releasing the first downloadable content for Uncharted 2's multiplayer mode this Friday, November 27. A title update will add "The Fort," a brand new multiplayer map supposedly based on the "Fortress" chapter of Drake's Fortune. According to the press release, "The Fort is a long rectangular map with wide open spaces and excellent flank routes." There's a shotgun in the center of the map and an RPG in the crypt (the inevitable resting place of people on the wrong end of that weapon). Best of all, this update will be free.
Once the patch goes live at 1PM ET, Naughty Dog will also initiate a Double Cash weekend. Teams will have special skins in competitive matches: Doughnut Drake for the Heroes (pictured above), and Doughnut Lazarevic for the Villains.
im in on the bfbc2 beta as well. fucking loving the shit out of that. ill probably play u2 though with buddies that dont have the beta. itll be good to see doughnut drake in play since i never have and might not ever givin the crazy amount of cash to get to level 60.
I do think it is stupid a bit. I was trying to play co-op with a friend and he couldn't connect to the server, and he can't join. So I played with the other guy in the game for a bit, then left. Went down like 5 ranks. Problem is, if you wanted to quit on competitive multiplayer I have seen people just Teamkill to get booted. You don't lose any rank for that. And that is annoying as well.
Sweet! I'll finally get back to some Uncharted 2 after only playing MW2 and a little bit of Battlefield Bad Company 2 beta. I hope that the patch adds some trophies for this map and mode. That would be some super tasty icing on the cake.
awesome! maybe more people will play this online again...I was online last night and there were only about 4,500 people playing. damn ModernWarfare2....
Its pretty obvious to us all why were getting a free map. They want more people to play the online. I have never seen more then 5,000 players online at once on the multiplayer compared to mw2 and seeing 325,000 players online at once. Yes the two games are totally different but at least mw2 you can rank up alot faster then uncharted 2 which takes 20 games or more just to rank up one level ??? The point system should be fixed and we should get more money for games
Lol if it takes 20 games to rank up one level you can't be very good. You get loads of money by getting the badges etc Try to get as many of them as possible and it doesn't take that long.
We all knew this would happen the free map is to get people to play the game online. Since nobody plays it really due to the lack of points in the game. Its decent but there are still flaws in the game. Where is my only plunder and turf war games ????? Come on naughty dog fix these
shame im one of those older ps3 owners whose system got the ylod and the cause appears to be uncharted 2 and the newest firmware (google uncharted 2 freeze if you dont know) boo
