Is it at least playable with 256 people?

At least they would have proved that it was possible.

I think you need to lower your graphical expectations with that many people playing in a map at the same time. I thought it was pretty good but not great. More than playable but I've pretty much decided to get BF:BC2 instead of MAG come next year.

I definitely understand as I think MAG is just a technical showcase with 256 players, but I played this right after the Bad Company 2 Beta and I think that's why I was let down by MAG. Definitely playable, but I think BC2 raised the bar.

Spending all weekend "RELOADING" over and over again while I try and wrap up the campaign cheevos in L4D2 (I love this game so much). I also picked up Lego Rock Band this past weekend, but I haven't actually touched it. The songs are really fun in RB2 though.

Mostly just those two, while I eat turkey and watch Doctor Who before Netflix takes it all off of IW. I might also pick up Beatles: RB because there's some family that's been dieing to play it too.

I just beat Disgaea 2 which means I can finally play Disgaea 3 (I HAVE RULES), but I won't be getting that for awhile so I've still been playing Disgaea 2 in my free time trying to beat the all the hidden characters and get all the alternative endings.

Gotta get to level 9999, currently level 94.

Yep.

The leveling starts out very very slow, but once you make it to about level 150 it becomes increasingly easier to obtain the other 9849 levels.

For some reason, seeing the vast variety of weapons on Modern Warfare 2 makes me want to play Jagged Alliance 2 again, with the community patch that adds a lot to the game.

Modern Warfare 2 Multi/ Uncharted 2 Multi, finish up Brutal Legend, start Ratchet and Clank, and continue through NSMBWii.

Better get cracking!

I would also like to wish a happy thanksgiving to my American brothers to the south.

I bought Borderlands and L4D2 together last week, but so far I've been having too much fun with borderlands to even start up L4D2.

Nothing beats Horde mode ... the thing I miss most about the 360.

Joystiq could not have picked a better image for this post. True story: one year my family got snowed in on Christmas day. I'd just received Blue Velvet and Silence of the Lambs on DVD. Ended up watching them. Disturbing choices for Christmas Day but watching Silence of the Lambs every year has now become a twisted tradition for me and my brother.

Oh, Justin, if you're looking for a good SegaCD title, you can't go wrong with Silpheed. Absolutely spectacular space shooter.

Just picked up L4D2 the other day. I can't believe I almost wanted to pass over this title! Waaayyyyyyyy too much fun.

Also just finished my Mass Effect insanity run, leaving me with no Bioware goodness until I either pick up Dragon Age or Mass Effect 2 comes out. I also stole my friends copy of Final Fantasy XII and am playing it between L4D2 games. To be honest, the only thing I don't like so far are the license boards. In RPGs like FF, I really only care to role play as the characters "intended" class. This just gives me too many options! Balthier

I thought Peggle sucked balls. Maybe it was just the PS3 version or whatever but I wasn't impressed especially coming into from playing Critter Crunch.

Playing more of New Super Mario Bros. Wii and maybe get around to some of the GOTY's as well (Batman Arkham Asylum, Borderlands, Dragon Age Origins as well).

Plus, working this weekend. Seriously. I work for a company with no soul.

RE2, maybe some Blood Omen, Frogger is on the list and some MP:Trilogy.

I'm getting owned by the giant alligator in RE2 and can't seem to boost ball through a window in Echoes. At the same time - I'm lost in Blood Omen.

Frogger seems to be the only title not letting me know I suck. :~(

Yeah I agree. I bought it based off how people always say what good crack it is. I definitely enjoyed it quite a bit, but I guess I was expecting to be more hooked. But I have more cheevos than you in Peggle, ESC, OH MAN I ROOL.

Almost at level 70 in MW2, finishing up AC2 (GOTY?), and playing through the insanely awesome L4D2.

Looking back, it was a pretty good year for gaming, even if there was an increase in gaming snobbishness.

Peggle was ridiculously overrated. It's mostly a luck game and not a very fun one at that. I played it while waiting for the Orange Box to unlock, but other than that I've never really seen the need for it.

Well I finally finished playing through the Half Life series again. I think i"ll be working on finishing the Killzone 2 campaign, some L4D2 vs, and maybe some Dead Space. I want to get in on some Gears but all the people I usually play with are too busy with MW2. Oh right, and TF2, I can never get enough TF2.
