The "Imperial Edition" of Napoleon Total War includes DLC that may give it a boost over the standard edition. The special edition steps up the presentation with a wall chart displaying the history of the French general's conquests and includes codes for 10 exclusive units. It also comes with the five units found in the Elite Regiment bundle, but that's already included in the standard edition's box set.
Actually, thinking about it, the Imperial Edition can get off its high horse, it's not all that fantastic. Availability and pricing for the special edition in the States has yet to be announced.

He could spend time with his family, but he needs money. So if he is going to get money, he need a job. And if there wasnt for me, and other readers on Joystiq, he wouldnt even have a job.

Napoleon looks like he needs to take a shit in that fold-out cover.

Hear hear!
Smart AI might be a stretch, how about grand campaign AI that actually works? Since that is like 50% of the game? I mean, I'd settle for that. Last time I played Empires, you couldn't lose if you played as Great Britain, because the AI didn't know how to transport armies via ship.
How can you let a war game out where you can't lose?

Was it really that buggy? I was excited for this but I guess I'll hold out for it until some patches release unless it comes out fairly bug-free.

Yeah, Empire had one of the worst initial-release products I've ever played. The A.I. was extremely passive, never invaded across water, used very poor unit selection, couldn't make up its mind in battles, had terrible economies, and couldn't come close to putting up a fight even on the highest difficulties. Patches eventually fixed most of these issues, but by then my interest in the game had basically died and I ended up never even finishing a single campaign.
