Capcom has updated its official Japanese Resident Evil 5 site, revealing the new enemy featured in the upcoming Gold Edition retail and (assorted) DLC release of the game. The new nemesis is an unnamed and extremely grotesque behemoth who carries a large key-like anchor, stalking the underground of Spencer's Mansion in the content's Lost in Nightmares episode. According to an English translation of the character card, players can hunt down the beast to obtain heavy weapons such as a sickle. If the design proves one thing, it's that Capcom continues to create characters with terrible skin afflictions. Someone get this guy an ointment.

Sounds cool, but from the looks of things, it's just an Executioner skin, similar to how the final Merc's boss, the "Rexecutioner" was just a modified version of the first hammer-wielding enemy.
Still, super psyched for the DLC.

I can't see how you think that that's an executionar re-skin. Do tell.

He only said "from the looks of things" and he's right, it looks around the same scale- is using a similar weapon that would work with the animations and is in the same pose the executioner would be after a swing.
Of course, it could be designed from scratch but there's a high chance "by the looks of things" that it isn't.

I had been a loyal Joystiq reader for a few years now and I just recently began posting comments. Today is Thanksgiving day and even though I was not born in America, I had moved here 10 years ago at 13 years of age, I do celebrate this holiday now. I would like to thank Joystiq for being the BEST and the most informative gaming website around and I would also like to thank them for always keeping the site up to date. Thanks Joystiq for never being lazy, thank you for updating and giving us something to read every day, thank you for even now on this holiday updating ever hour as you get the news. You do something that other sites just dont do, you update this site with interesting news throughout the day and surprisingly the whole night. I love this website and it is my favorite. I never participated in any give aways nor have I won anything, how ever I just love the way you guys at Joystiq handle your business. You guys are the most lazy-free, gaming community loving group of peoplle on the internet and I THANK YOU for that. Happy thanksgiving guys and have wonderful holidays, I wish you guys the best of luck and once again I thank you for keeping me up to date with the news and for being as giving as you are.

Is this an American thing?
In England, the closest thing we have to this is Guy Fawkes Night. It involves children burning an effigy of the fucker who tried to blow up parliament, so that his soul may never know peace, only eternal torment.
Fireworks are also involved. They're pretty.

Canadians still celebrate thanksgiving, but they do it in the first part of October. I don't think there are any major Holidays in the month of November for them.
Spent 3 months in Richmond Hill. Late Oct. 07 to early Jan. 08. Amazingly I was one of the few people not complaining about the cold when it started snowing, and I was born and raised in Texas.
Oh, also, thanks for keeping the site going Xav.

MAIN NOTE: While I still want to go through my Veteran and Professional runs, I'm excited for the DLC. I can always justify more reasons for me to play RE5, besides just playing it.
SIDE NOTE: This post has more comments unrelated to the game than related to the game.

In my language we would call a silly fool like him "kuttha," or "dog" in english, or "dawg" in his case.

I don't know what he means by "dawg," but it is a slang for friend, buddy, or pal.

This is ridiculous. I would like to ask the original commenter one question: Is this how you actually talk. If so i feel compelled to get the name of the elementary school you attended and report them for being unable to properly teach a child grammar, manners, and spelling. I would also like to say if your just doing this to piss people off, its working. If your doing it to be funny or because you think its funny, its not. Now leave.
