Writing in a recent Workshop blog post, LucasArts responded to complaints that its XBLA and PC puzzle-platformer, Lucidity, can be "particularly punishing." A new update, which adds checkpoints in an effort , has been launched on PC and is set to via an update set to arrive on Xbox Live within the coming weeks. "We feel that there is so much great content in Lucidity that we want to open it up and make it more accessible for people to experience."
Listen, LucasArts, we respect what you're doing here, we do. But please, for all our sakes, be careful. Listening to the internet is a slippery slope, one that ends in everyone hurling dung and racial epithets at each other. And if you don't agree with that, you're a Nazi.

Please review and edit this post, the first paragraph seems to be missing some words and repeating others.

That's the world we live in when news is increasingly becoming small blog posts that cater to people with short attention spans and lack of desire to read.

Apparently, lucidity over grammar is the last thing Justin has right now.

If someone watched the gameplay vids or played the demo they'd think Lucidity is aimed more at the casual crowd. It's kind of a niche indie-type game, so I'm sure a lot of the target market doesn't want it to be as hard as Demon Souls. A lot of people just want to enjoy the experience without being reminded of the days of the NES.

Lucidity is one of the few games I thought the majority of reviewers didn't get. It had such a touching story but many ripped it apart for being so hard. I just hope this patch gives the game enough accessibility so a lot more people can enjoy it.

Judging from the demo, I liked Lucidity a LOT more than I thought I would. It looked like a silly easy platformer from the first gameplay vids, but it ended up playing a lot more like sidescrolling tetris, with an awesome visual style. I'm waiting a while to see if a steam of xbl sale comes up before I buy it, but it definitely seems like a great game.
