He also likes kittens and cookies.

For a murderer he is surprisingly innocent at times.

Yeah, Sten is a bad-ass with a bit of an existential philosopher's soul. Not only can he hold a pretty good conversation, dude is my go-to dragonslayer! Seriously, do.not.mess.

Sten is awesome. I'm grooming him for my delicious dragon scale armour (strength 38 get!). My main is a rogue/duelist/tanking badass, Sten is useful for damage dealing, and I round out the party with Wynn for healing and Morrigan for damage spells / hot secks.

That said, (SPOILERS!) when Sten challenged my authority in Haven, I kicked his Qunari ass. (/SPOILERS!)

I love Tali (mostly her accent), and I'm glad she is coming back in this game. Which looks awesome.

Secondly, Adept FTW! And they made it even better in this game. Even the biotics look cooler. I really want to play this game.

I used her a lot as well, her tech is invaluable. But romance? You can't even see her face. What if she's an uggo?

Dude, she wears that suit because she has literally no immune system. It would be like deadly germ warfare if you got it up in there!

There was a sizable group of people in BioWare's forums who wanted to have Tali as a romance option, including myself. The accent is *sexy.*

I don't mind if she doesn't take the suit off. She was good for interesting conversation.

Why does everything have to be about "Doin' the Kirk"?

I used the heck out of Tali during my second playthrough as a soldier. Tali and Blue Girl, why use the hybrid classes, all the detriments of both classes, the advantages of neither.

Gametrailers has a video of the Vanguard class up. I don't know if Joystiq already posted it as I've been trying to avoid anything Mass Effect related like the plague... I just couldn't resist the call of Tali.

Sweet! The Quarian Flotilla!

Hey, what did they call Tali at the end? I thought her full name was Tali'Zorah nar Rayya, but it sounds like she changed her name to add "Normandy" at the end? Did I miss that part or is my memory failing me?

And lastly: is that Shohreh Aghdashloo doing the voice of the Quarian leader?

When a Quarian finishes their pilgramage, they are assigned a ship. Since she's being exiled, she becomes a part of the Normandy crew. Thus, she's Tali'Zorah nar Rayya vas Normandy (Vas means crew of).

From what I remember of the first game, their names reflect either the ship they were born on (if they are still children) or the name of the ship they serve aboard as adults (if they have successfully passed their Pilgrimage). So I guess if her last name has changed from nar Rayya ("child of the vessel Rayya"), to vas Normandy ("crewmember of the Normandy"), she's successfully passed her pilgrimage.

Yeah, I messed that up a bit. She'd only be Tali'Zorah vas Normandy. It's basically like getting married to a ship...

Now all we need is the ability to have a romance with her and get her in the sack and everything will be perfect.

I mean, from the trailer..it does sound like she is very.. grateful.

I know I shouldn't have watched the video but I caved and did. I figured we'd see the flotilla this time after reading the 2nd book, but Tali actually being exiled? Even though I never used her in the 1st game (other than for the quarian achievement) I'm extremely interested in seeing why she's being exiled.

Being exiled is usually a death sentence for a quarian, so it will be interesting to see how that plays out.

A romance would be an interesting idea... if an exchange of fluids wouldn't be lethal to her...

And how do you kiss a beak?

Guarantee the beaks are the reason the helmets are still on while on the migrant fleet - they haven't figured out how to model a beak talking and make it not look ridiculous.

Also probably because anyone from off the fleet would be loaded with death so they have to wear the suits to be safe from outsiders.

I can't remember too much, but I think they said something in the second book about how some Quarians just don't bother to take off their suits even when on the flotilla. The fleet is sterile though, so any outsiders or returning quarians would be decontaminated before being allowed to board. All outsiders must wear suits, however.

Also, I'm pretty sure Quarians don't have beaks. You can see their faces under their masks if you look close enough.

Seeing a face doesn't mean no beak ;)

Also doesn't explain why the quarian masks are so long vs. human.

They definitely have noses, so that would contend for ugliest character design if they had both a nose and a beak. The mouth area of their masks work as both air filtration units and allow them survive in the vacuum of space, similar to space suits. Plus, more room = more comfortable. Astronauts have huge helmets, but that doesn't mean that humans have giant round heads... :D

Yep. Shohreh Aghdashloo. I'm convinced it's her as well. I mean...it's a pretty distinctive voice.

She's on Flash Forward also, although so far in a very small yet recurring role. In next week's episode she looks to feature more prominently.
