It's been four years since Uwe Boll first graced American cinemas with his game-to-film masterpiece, Alone in the Dark. Though only acting as producer (rather than his usual directorial role), he's finally bringing the sequel to our shores this holiday with Alone in the Dark 2. Rather than waste time with those silly theaters, Alone in the Dark 2 will be heading straight to DVD, said to be coming "this Winter."
You might be thinking to yourself, "I didn't even know they made a second film," like the first (and only) commenter on the movie's IMDB page did. And after checking out that page, you might be wondering how the film's main character (Edward Carnby) inexplicably changed from Christian Slater to Korean-American actor Rick Yune. We're gonna chock both up to one simple answer: Movie magic.

I agree fully. I think it's time we contact Ellis and change it from "kill all sons of bitches" to "kill all Uwe Bolls." Of course though there was substitution, the nouns still mean exactly the same thing.

The last Uwe Boll movie I watched has left me permanently scarred. My eyes haven't worked since for fear of being subjected to another Boll Movie.

Uwe Boll. 'nuff said.
I rented house of the dead years ago, i was so disgusted, i returned it to blockbuster that same night and told them it didnt play in my dvd player, and they gave me a credit towards another movie. Needless to say, i made sure it wasn't directed by Uwe Boll.

If only I could of done that with that very same movie when I saw it in theaters...
(or wish I knew Uwe Boll directed it, but I guess everyone needs to see at least one movie he made to know why it sucks, and nothing says "sucks" like House of the Dead, which not only ruined the game, but also ruined the zombie genre in one fell swoop)

Dear Joystiq & other game journos,
Please stop covering the release of every uwe boll film that comes out because you're therefore giving him the only advertisement his movies will get... Even though everyone knows his movies are bad, some dumb shmuck will buy the dvd thinking "let me see just how bad this uwe boll guy is" and he will then want to hurt himself whilst swimming in his pool of regret. I'm pretty sure any gamer that counts knows his work is to be avoided by now so let's try not to mention his name anytime soon, K?
Sincerely,
Face.

I wish it was based on the actual AitD2 game and featured Christian Slater as Carnby in a santa suit fighting ghouls.
