I really wish this game would come to consoles. My PC is OLD.

It would depend on whether EA pressured BioWare into console ports, like with Dragon Age. And Microsoft would have to loosen the restrictions on MMO's. If they haven't done anything for SE and FFXIV, I don't think they'd open it up for TOR.

Yeah, Bioware games are better on consoles, but I just feel like putting $1,500-$2,000 on a new gaming PC. I could play it on my Mac using Crossover, but I'm not sure it would run well.

$1500-$2000? Who said you had to buy Alienware? Go to newegg.com. You can get a sick PC (Crysis running) for no more than $1000, and an MMO running one (less demanding than FPSes) for $500-$800.

I really doubt the graphical requirements for an MMO will be that high, it does need to be accessible right?

Are you kidding? Maybe it was a minor spoiler back in 1977...

But even then only Obi Wan and Leia paid attention.

Currently playing KOTOR that I picked up on steam yesterday, and it is pumping me up for this game. Also, the Old Republic worlds look beautiful, and this one is no exception.

I'm wondering what the cut planet for this game will be.
KotOR 1 was Slehyron, KotOR II was M4-78. Perhaps they'll cut Manaan?

I don't think there will be cut content for an MMO. At least not in the "cut because there wasn't enough time" category.

Why would you be sad? It won't go 'splodey for thousands of years. It could become a slum hole for prostitutes and crooks within that time, before reverting to the "peaceful" (seriously, only one person said it was peaceful, and she didn't exactly keep it in her pants--not even for her brother) planet that was destroyed by a trigger-happy Vader, killing millions of faceless people who we really don't care about except that Leia was kind of bothered by it.

Under SWCanon rules, if Leia said it was peaceful, then that means Lucas has declared it that way. G-Level Canon trumps all others.

Alderaan's destruction was all Tarkin, don't put the blame on Vader. Vader was just there to observe for the Emperor. Tarkin is a sadistic man, that's why he blew up Alderaan. Tarkin didn't even get permission from the Emperor before he blew up Alderaan, he didn't care.

@Xav: The standing rule on emotion for Lindsay Lohan's career is neutral. Attachment on either spectrum leads to insanity. Check yourself in to a mental clininc NOW to avoid the embarrassment of the white-suits coming for you while you're eating breakfast at McDonald's.

You guys think Kotor 3 is still gonna happen at this point? Like will Swtor kill it, slow it down, or maybe speed it up? Even if Bioware isn't developing it, do you think it's ever gonna happen? Old Republic is nice and everything, but it's an MMO. I don't like spending $50 on a game and then another $10 or $15 *a month* just to keep playing it. Totally putting that aside, I don't want a Kotor MMO, I want Kotor 3.

Couldn't hurt to put it on the consoles either, since I don't do PC games anymore...

I think it will depend, if s does well Bioware will want to make expansions and patches. If it fails then bioware will see that there a huge demand for a kotor3 and might work on that.

TOR IS KotOR3. BioWare made the franchise, and they say TOR is KotOR3+4+5+etc. The creators of the franchise have a more right opinion on their franchise and sequel status than random whining fanboys.

Ya know. This is something I very, very rarely say on Joystiq (if ever), but go fuck yourself. If Swtor was Kotor 3, then they'd just make Kotor 3 and call it Kotor 3. This is an MMO, which is a very, very different thing from a single player RPG. Of course Bioware is gonna claim that this game fulfills the void left from the non existence of a proper Kotor sequel because they want it to sell.

A more right opinion? Whining fanboys? Seriously kid, I say again: go fuck yourself.

You're wrong. BioWare has specifically said the content in TOR is basically KOTOR 3 onward through 11, 12 maybe even 13. That's how much content they are putting in and that is how they are treating it.

If you love KOTOR as much as you seem to, hating TOR is ridiculous. Especially since their focus on story is going to amazing and never seen in an MMO before.

How can I hate a game that I've never played and doesn't even exist yet? I'm not saying that I hate it and I never have. I just don't want an MMO and I don't want it on the PC. Like I don't care what Bioware claims it is or what they're going to tell me so that I'll be convinced to buy it. It's not Kotor 3, and I want Kotor 3.

I don't understand why the Bioware defense force has to rush in every time I say this. It's my fucking opinion. I'm not saying Swtor will be a bad game. I'm sure it'll be a fantastic game... for an MMO. As in, I'm sure people who like MMOs and have the money and time investment to play an MMO will enjoy it, but it's not for me.

That's all I'm saying here. Get a fucking grip people.

"That's all I'm saying here."

Aside from the part where you told me to go fuck myself for trusting BioWare as the creators of the franchise when they state TOR is KotOR3. So nice try on being reasonable here.

I bet there were people like you back before WoW came out too, people who bitched and bitched about WoW coming out and not a Warcraft 4. Those people felt betrayed that Blizzard went with an MMO when most fans didn't have the time or money investments to play one; they wanted another RTS like the previous Warcraft games. But then those people ate their own words when WoW became the best-selling MMO ever that pretty much every gamer has played at some point. I see TOR being like that. All the hate for no single-player RPG KotOR3 being made, when TOR has the potential to easily become bigger than the first 2 KotOR games combined.

No. I told you to go fuck yourself because your a troll who has a problem with shoving his opinions down other people's throats. I redirect you to your comments about "a more right opinion" and calling myself and others who are asking for Kotor 3 "whining fanboys".

Let break this down for you:

-I'm not bitching. I'm not whining. I'm posing a question to the level minded people here as to whether or not there will be a Kotor 3. Get the fuck over yourself.

-I don't feel betrayed, I feel disappointed. If they wanna make a Kotor MMO that's fine, but I'm disappointed that there isn't a proper Kotor 3 being made by anyone. Get the fuck over yourself.

-I'm not eating my words and I have no intention of it. I really couldn't give a shit if it sells well. I don't think nor do I hope it will fail, I just want Kotor 3. Get the fuck over yourself.

-I don't hate Swtor and I don't hate Bioware for making it and not Kotor 3. Maybe somebody else is, but that's not me, and it has nothing to do with me. Get the fuck over yourself.

-You know what else has the potential to be better then something else? Anything. Seeing potential is an opinion. So is what you think of the outcome when that potential is met or not met. Your opinion is all good and everything, but it doesn't have a damn thing to do with the fact that I want Kotor 3, not Swtor. Get the fuck over yourself.

Good?

What's with all the f-bombs? I referred to KotOR 3 fanboys in general and suddenly you start spouting f-bombs left and right like I insulted your mother. I was being relatively civil, but you just start cussing.

To continue being civil, I'll ask you what you think a KotOR 3 would accomplish? Revan's story is pretty much finished, and Exile's plot resolved itself in KotOR 2. What would KotOR 3 do? Introduce another amnesiac Jedi responsible for a tragedy who goes on a quest for redemption just like the previous 2 KotOR games? To be honest, I'd love to see a KotOR prequel with the likes of Ulic Quel-droma and Exar Kun and Nomi Sunrider and all the others from the Sith Wars of the era that inspired BioWare to make KotOR in said era.

Pretty sure I've said all that I've needed to say. Suddenly changing from a raging, trolling fanboy responding to an open and open minded question with insults to the pseudo "trying too hard to be intelligent" act you have going on right now doesn't erase the former nor will it coax me into continuing a finished and resolved conversation in the latter. Good bye.

How is that going to work. Also Alderaan is now the eternal resting place of Jimmy Smits. It can't be defiled by MMO teabagging and line dancing.
