Double Agent on 360 was a huge disappointment for me because of the lack of splitscreen multiplayer.

I was hoping they'd bring back the PT/CT multiplayer, but from what we've seen so far with Conviction, I'm excited to see what they'll be doing with it.

I will be pretty disappointed if they don't attempt to have anything close to the masterpiece that was the chaos theory multiplayer, without that this game will probably just be a rental for me.

So far this IS a rental for me, I liked the original look a tad more and this just looks to arcadey for its own good to truly be a Splinter Cell game.

Chaos Theory still has one of the best co-op modes of any game. Look forward to seeing what new stuff Ubi Montreal brings to cooperative games. Can't wait for this game.

Well I Hideo Kojima, refuse to give you MGS4! how did you know I am Hideo Kojima?! I mean my user has nothing to do with my real name! After all I happen to own all of this generations consoles since I'm so rich... I will just play Splinter cell on my 360 because that's how I, Hideo Kojima roll! =)

Disclaimer: I'm not really Hideo Kojima.

Seriously, stop repeating yourself in every damn article. We get it, you hate "tacked on" multiplayer modes and people who don't jump straight into single player. Just stop...

It was warranted for Uncharted 2 (though that should have stopped immediately once the beta released, because it was AMAZING), but for Splinter Cell? Really? Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory are two of the best designed multiplayer games out there. I swear you don't even enjoy playing games, you just like to bitch about why other people like them.

"I guess not, but it definitely means I won't touch it."

So even it it's the absolute best multiplayer experience ever contrived, you wouldn't access a key feature of the game you paid for? Even if it were reportedly awful, avoiding it for the sake of avoiding it is just downright stupid.

I don't care if it turns out to have the greatest multiplayer ever conceived, I won't play it because I don't like multiplayer. I only need 1 game to play deathmatch in all the time, and I'm even starting to get tired of Camp of Duty Modern Snipefest 2. The game itself is fine, but the people who play it suck donkey dick.

Going with Tmac here. I just don't enjoy multiplayer modes very much.

The only ones I've actively played are Halo 3 and the first Modern Warfare. I know a lot of people liked Uncharted 2's MP, but I just didn't care for it.

Most of the time, I'd prefer they sunk more effort into the campaign.

I think I'm starting to get over multiplayer myself. Well, online multiplayer anyways. It's fun and all but after a while it almost feels like work rather than fun.

Playing people via LAN or splitscreen is always a blast but online is getting old.

Ouch...that royally blows.

I've been lucky, and only had it die once. And MS just stuck a whole new system inside my old shell, so it's been more reliable than the old ones.

Though this 'reliable' BenQ drive scratches my disks, while my 'bad' TSST drive didn't.

I'm kind of over multiplayer as well. I bought Modern Warfare 2 a day after it released and most of my friends on Live were playing the multiplayer. So I just jumped right into the multiplayer and it was good, but I didn't see how people and play it continuously. Some of my friends played MP for hours and hours, but I just stuck to the campaign. I play the multiplayer every now and then, but I friends won't stop playing it.

Timed exclusives are lame.

Especially since when they're ported to the other system, the game is usually leaps and bounds better.

This is the case for most 360 timed exclusives ending up on the PS3.

They say its exclusive, but I believe this will eventually jump over since the PS3 install base has been growing since the price drop. Heck I work at target and for this black Friday weekend we sold out of PS3's and yet had plenty left over 360's. All of us at the electronics department were surprised at this since we had a deal on the 360's and not the PS3's. It's foolish to think that 3rd parties like Epic and Ubi will continue to produce 360;s exclusives when the other side is growing.

Even if it is a timed exclusive, you're going to be playing it at least a year after everyone else has gone through it and put it away and moved on to other great games.

Not to mention it would be a ps3 port, so it has a 99% chance of being inferior.

From my own personal experience, the demand for that Wally PS3 bundle was insane. They sold all their units. (over 150)

The Madagascar Arcade units are still on the shelf...though why anyone would want that bundle, I will never know.

Not if it's rebuilt around the PS3.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Sigma II were better than the originals.
Tales of Vesperia is better on the PS3
Red Alert 3 is much better on the PS3

When devs aren't lazy, the games are usually better.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Sigma II are REMAKES not cross-platform ports. Plus, Sigma I is a remake of a last generation game... One would expect it to be better.

It probably will be out on PC at the same time, so I don't know how timed it can be. Its not going to be on PS3, it simply has not been created with it in mind.

I never played splinter cell, always was a metal gear solid guy but I might get it for the computer if its good.

Redass:
Splinter Cell 2 (I think it was) came out on PS2. And most if not all of them have come out on PC also. So Splinter Cell not traditionally an Xbox exclusive franchise.

Then, because I wasn't on it, I missed out on the MGS4 deal, the Batman deal, and the TWEWY deal.

Still pissed.

why not the LS2LS7?:
Actually in terms of console exclusives splinter has traditionally been an xbox exclusive with the exception of the second game, other than that it's all xbox/microsoft. If you want to include the PC then maybe a Microsoft exclusive would be a better term I suppose... but obviously Microsoft is going to want most games released on the xbox to eventually be released on the PC. More Money. It's like saying metal gear has not been traditionally a playstation exclusive because metal gear solid 2 substance came out on xbox.
