I don't even bother emphasising it, it is very easy to read sarcasm when it's done right.

It's the internet... Plain text can easily be read the wrong way. I've gotten into some pretty big fights with my friends in our work e-mail chain over simple misunderstandings.

Sarcasm is hard to detect on the internet... as you could easily be talking to an idiot.

It's all fun and games until you realize the other person wasn't joking.

Rogue Trooper for me. The original on Xbox is such an underrated masterpiece, hope it still has the excellent multiplayer component in the Wii version. Might get Call of Duty classic too, never played it on PC and was always intrigued by the Stalingrad level preview I read.

Will definitely keep my eye on Avatar, see how it turns out. Doesn't look half-bad (though I'm not interested in the film, yet).

I got the Night Vision Goggle edition of MW2 so I got classic earlier than this, and i certainly dont think id pay for it now. It feels completely archaic, not just in graphics of course I mean, there isnt even a sprint button anymore! I never played it when it first cam out, but i did play Medal of Honor Allied Assault which many IW employees worked on before forming IW and CoD, and if memory serves that's way better than CoD classic

I guess there is always the demo. I'm not really into the new Call of Duty games anyways, so going back to older versions wouldn't too much of a problem for me though. Definitely not buying it untested now though :P

Well, Wayne, you answered one of my questions (how was CoD1?) but now you've left me with another: How are the MW2 goggles? I saw the Prestige edition for the first time at Best Buy over the weekend, and they looked pretty badass. Do they work? Should I be jealous?

Call of Duty 1 was the best Call of Duty game for me. I have it for PC though so I'm not gonna pick it up when it hits PSN.

I saw the Avatar picture and when I looked the post I thought it was written by James-Cameron-Wiley.

Why is Call of Duty Classic on XBLA this week, but not PSN? Will this BS never end?

And this year is pretty much over, apart from Spirit Tracks. Mostly minor releases from here to January.

At least the Deal of the Week is okay this week.

Though I'd just assume play it on my Genesis or my Nomad.

Am I the only one who thinks Avatar the movie looks kinda stupid? I do love Cameron and all and I really want to want to see it (no typo) but the trailers just make it look so cheesy. It feels like someone made a $200 million Halo fanfic movie and replaced all the Covenant with furries, but maybe that's just me...

Halo was an Aliens fan-fic by your logic.

I just can't get excited for the movie, much less for the game. I try to get interested when I see the commercials by saying, "hey, it may be cool in 3D", yet I am just not feelin it. It looks like a color explosion with real people and then suddenly not so real people and the whole thing has lost me.

The movie looks so stupid, but a well-done stupid. Every time I see the previews or commercials, I'm all, "This looks awesome" until the blue things come on-screen. Thrn again, I'm 24, so I guess it's a good thing I think it looks stupid.

I've liked most of James Cameron's stuff, but I've got to admit, Avatar is doing nothing for me.

So, what's the difference between the $30 RE0 Archive and the one I can probably get for $4 used for Gamecube? I still want to play it though, since it's the only canon RE game that I've never tried.

My guess would be the controls...

If they're the same "updated" controls as RE1: Archive, then I'll just pick up the used GC version.

As far as I heard, it's the same deal as the first one (and I think if it was significantly improved we'd have heard about it), so I'd go for the $4 option.

We all know that the outside has been filled with NPCs with really good graphics and pretty good voice acting for a good number of years now.

And the number of characters that can be on screen at once is astonishing. No loss of detail, either.

I just bought l4d2/forza 3 and the sims 3 expansion for my gf on black friday. I'm good for quite a while in addition to my huge backlog. Nothing for me this week.

I might get more stuff from the steam sales but I'm not sure.
