Microsoft just pulled back the curtain on a brand-new bundle exclusively for our brothers and sisters to the north. Aside from a 250GB Xbox 360 Elite console, the bundle also includes a double dose of Bungie goodness: Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST.

Starting today, you can get your maple syrup-soaked hands on this for a suggested retail price of $399.99 CAD. If you're a US gamer wondering why we didn't get this piece of gear down here, relax -- let Canada win this one! You have any idea how many driveways a Canadian has to shovel to earn this thing?

@CzAr But in order to get the bundle, you have to sign a contrat promising them you will get a gold membership the moment you get Live.

Thats what I was thinking. The canuks will be on this bundle because the campaign is sooo interesting.... You get MP without all the dlc and MP with all the dlc and a half ass'd campaign that felt like the 2nd Pirates movie, because it was only half of a movie!

Oh, and like Mr. ESC said, you have no class.

Unfortunately, that's what MS is constantly advertising their console as: The Halo Machine. Obviously, this is terrible, being that the 360 has tons of other excellent exclusives. I love Halo, it's a fantastic series, but there's just so much more to the system.

I'm not seeing the 'deal' here. $299 xbox...$60ish in games...$40ish controller? At most you're saving $20 bucks...did they throw live in free for a year at least? or Wifi?

Doink! It's the 250gb...ok...not bad but I'd still rather less HD and more wifi...you know...since there is not much on the video service and we won't get the Zune service in Canada that would justify needing 250gb.

You sure about not being able to access the Zune service? I mean, I don't totally use it, but I'm pretty sure I accessed it a few times from my 360.

I disagree, I think mindless waggle is the worst thing to happen to video games.

Halo may be overrated, but it's not bad. If nothing else it really pushed online gaming for consoles and helped it become popular.

You know, as a Canadian, I'm deeply offended that Joystiq would imply that as Canadians our only source of income is shoveling snow. We have many fine career opportunities and simply said, snow removal is only but one of many sources of employment. Many of us have to shovel snow for free along with working our own pitiful source of employment.

Hey, I bought my PS3 last year with my snow blower. Almost record snow fall = neighbours with broken snow blowers.

David Hinkle's plan is to try and offend everyone. Too bad Canadians are just very nice people, even with the media trying to turn us into fearful, prejudice, bastards.

I remember when I was a little boy and it was the middle of summer and a family from the US of A pulled up beside us. And asked us where the snow was... And they had there ski's of the roof.

Oh I won't need this, I already won the MW2 250GB unit at the Engadget Show. But thanks anyway.
