That's great! I'm still working on the game and think that it is amazing. It feels like grand theft auto set in the renaissance era. To add more DLC to the already massive game would be amazing! Hell they can flesh out more of Ezio's adventures now too!

I know that Ubi and others have to get the DLC out shorly after launch, but how about dropping some DLC in summer when there aren't as many releases?

Goddammit is this shit coming out for the PC version or not? Already got burned with Prince of Persia, as well as HAWX. I thought I was fucking done with Ubisoft games on PC, but I think i just need to be burned once more to make things final.

Then why not just pick it up for your PS3? Sure, maybe the graphics won't be as good, but you can play the game now - and you can for sure pick up the DLC when it's released.

Yes, Ubisoft does hate the PC like with POP not getting the Epilouge DLC. Assassins Creed 1 for the PC did get 4 exclusive missions I guess to help with its several month delay from the console versions. Hope the same happens with the sequel.

DLC, maybe not since several multiplatform games on the PC don't get the DLC the consoles do. : (

I did not spend $380 on a Radeon HD 5870 to not play games on it! I got my PS3 for Uncharted, R&C, Blu-Ray, and Last Guardian. My PC is for multi-platform releases. I'm STILL waiting on Dirt 2!

It's getting to the point that I'm half way tempted to wait for a GOTY edition for every game. Heck, even if one isn't released, if you wait, at least the main game will cost less - so that extra cash can instead be spent on the DLC.

I just have to say that this is awesome. From what I hear there is more than enough quality content in the game to begin with. The size of those downloads suggests that there could be a decent amount of additional play in these DLC packs. I'm glad that they aren't leaving such a rich world behind too quickly.

Beet the game Sunday night. I am eagerly awaiting this DLC. I hope it is set up like GTA 4. More then one mission. But a whole bunch with a new story line.

I was JUST about to buy this game....but I feel as if it will be RE-released as a GOTY edition with all that in there....I don't think they did that with Prince of Persia but this is selling a LOT better than PoP

Whether or not the game will have a GoTY is pretty much irrevant. In a year, the game will be $10, just like AC1 was.

The price of games (especially games without multiplayer) drops drastically over time. This is nothing new, I don't see why this "GoTY Edition" stuff has changed things for anyone. Buying the GoTY edition a year later back up at full price is no different than just buying the non-GoTY edition of the game at that point and buying the DLC. Heck, it's probably more expensive.

$10 in a year?? we are talking about a AAA title....Haze on the other hand was $20 new after just a year.....and games like Fallout 3 and LBP both were still $60 when the GoTY editions came out....

It may be $40 brand new next year this time...$30 at the least

Depends on the price for DLC and time at which it was made. I think it's reasonable to be upset when the game just comes out and already there is DLC that will drop with a price tag within the month. Something like that indicates it was almost ready for launch, and could have just been included into the full game.

There is no real point to constant whining about it though, most of the time the DLC is still reasonably priced, although some companies go overboard.

Right because McCain would have done everything different. He couldn't even pick a running mate let alone run a decent campaign and you wanted him in the white house. That man is so out of touch with the world it's not even funny. I don't agree with everything Obama has done but his heart is in the general right place. We are one of the richest countries in the world and we don't even have public heath care for our citizens. It is the governments job to take care of it's citizens and yes that should include health care. The government works for us not the other way around, which is what many people seem to forget. We as a society should be looking out and helping each other not just worried about me, me, me. Now I am not saying that every bum in the world should not work hard for the things they get in life. But if everyone cared a bit more about each other we would be much better off. It's not fair to single mom who works 3 jobs to take care of her kids to not be able to go to the doctor because she can't afford it. or has to worry about going broke because she has huge hospital bills. We should be better then that, we can be.

First - if this DLC is roughly a gigabyte in size, then no, it probably shouldn't have been on the disc for 360. A dual-layer DVD is only 8.5GB as is. On Playstation 3? Maybe.

Second, this game made me want to learn Italian.

No man I get what you are saying and I am not talking tangible things that people really do not need. Do any of us really need videogames? No, but we buy them to give us pleasure. You better Pay for it if you want it. But there are things in life that everybody should be entitled to no matter how much you money you make in this country. Freedom and Health should be on that list.

To the people complaining about the amount of DLC these days i agree with you, whole heartedly. But no on this occasion, this is one of the few games released on this generation of consoles with a proper fleshed out long lasting single player. Meh i loved AC2.

So is it fair to say that Assassin's Creed II is getting an 'Upgrayedd'.

You know, two D's... For a double dose of DLC.

Has anyone else had issues with Assassin's Creed 2? I'm getting a freeze on the "What goes around" mission that turns the screen white. I've only noticed a few people who have gotten it on the web. I returned the game already and everything that was installed (except the save data) and reinstalled the new disc again. It still does it. Here is one entry that tells "exactly" what's happening to me as well. http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/action/assassinscreed2/show_msgs.php?topic_id=m-1-52433334&pid=956856

My feelings about DLC.... Well, if it's something worth while, say something that would have been called an "EXPANSION" a few years ago and adds a good amount of content then I'm all for it, unfortunately a lot of games(Right now I'm thinking of Soul Calibur 4) where all you get is some lame new outfits/costumes which could have and should have been included in a game instead of trying to screw over people by charging them a buck or two just for some lame cosmetic effect. It's funny how quick people are to forget about the time before people could go on-line on their console, back when a game had to be COMPLETE or people wouldn't buy/play it, and very few games, if any besides PC games, had any sort of expansions. In order to continue enjoying a game enviroment we had to wait for the next game in the series. Course back then game sequals were coming out every 6-9 months instead of every year or 2.
