Hmm...I'm reading the article. I don't see anywhere where it says 'YOU MUST BUY NAO!'

If you don't want it, don't buy it.

My FIFA-loving friend says that he's stopped playing online because the general connection is just shit (PS3), and that EA won't care enough to fix it.

The connection is fine on xbox, the only problem is as soon as someone concedes a goal they leave and you don't get the win and they don't gain a loss.
I don't see why they even give a "quit" menu option online. Having no penalty for quitting online games completely ruins it online.

Yes im pretty disappointed with fifa10...it has so many connection issues and a bunch usability faults, plus that store has individual purchases and never gets updated, pro evo 2010 has made one updated so far...i was expecting much more from EA.

Does this have that horrible (imo) contract thing on them like it did for the 09 version? Man I hated that...

yeah even though as i said i enjoyed it, the contract system was way too strict, half the time i'd find myself grinding, yes grinding in a sports game, with rubbish players just so i could afford contracts for my good players who were sitting around doing nothing.

i hope they have tweaked it a bit, but the core gameplay i enjoyed.

I'm for supply demand and profit but could EA be a little subtle in trying to string out as muh cash as possible from its buyers? like seriously___we know in june theyll be shipping out fifa world cup 2010__isn`t that why a lot of international countries we left out of fifa 09___the first 4 weeks of these dlc will be bug ridden and slow as hell anyways

it's really fun and addictive. especially when you get your team upgraded. I'll get it day 1, and this year its only $5 rather than $10 last year (i think)

Fully respect your opinion greg, but must disagree.

This was a complete waste of money for me, and there is nothing even remotely pulling me towards buying this for a second time.

fair enough. I'll admit i didn't like it at first. the "economy" was completely insane and it was impossible to get good cards without spending wayyy too much time or money.

Once i made a 4-4-2 team with over 100 chem (it capped at 100 though) i actually started to have fun. It was satisfying beating teams that had Torres, Kaka, Gerrard, Ronaldo and Messi with players like Tamudo and De La Red. Not bad players, but not stars.

The Joystiq article mentions neither football or, ahem, 'soccer'. Trying to avoid the typical flame war that follows FIFA/Pro Evo posts, huh?

How about they reopen the interactive league for fifa09 so people can finish getting the trophies? Blocking it after less then 5 months is absurd.

i know how you feel. I really wanted to get 1250 achievements for fifa. Now im at something at 1090 because it's not worth trying to get, because it's impossible.

Ah, so that's what they've been doing instead of fixing the countless bugs and glitches.

Go fuck yourself EA.
