Fist of the North Star Musou hits Japan in March

Japanese gamers and eager importers will be able to start throwing hundreds of high-speed punches at giant thugs as soon as March 2010. In a video game, we mean. Specifically, in North Star Musou, the Dynasty Warriors spin-off based on the legendary, post-apocalyptic fighting manga, Fist of the North Star.

Also, unfortunately, the company released the price for the upcoming brawler. We say "unfortunately" because it's ¥8,190 ($94.27), which probably marks the end of quite a few import plans. Koei has yet to announce a localized version of the game, but we don't think the publisher would allow a Warriors game to go unreleased.

Yea with that price Kenshiro just did a move called "Furious Import wallet Explosion*. I'll wait it out in hopes that they would import it to the states.

That's ok, I can't play a game where the main character doesn't have nipples anyway. =)

But that means you couldnt watch the anime either because he doesn't have nipples in it. And if you don't want to watch an anime where the main character constantly pokes people to make them explode, I just don't know what's wrong with you.

heh, sounds like a fun anime. I was just cracking a joke at the art.

The anime is basically like Fallout 3 using the Power Fist only, and with Bloody Mess on.

If Kenshiro has no nipples, I guess the female folk in this game don't have any either?

That's a ridiculous price to pay for any game, let alone a Koei developed brawler.

the price is pretty standard for an import, its only expensive because the yen is kicking the US dollar in the balls pretty hard atm.

I want to play Bruce Lee on steroid in Mad Max.

im still gonna import it...im obsessed with Hokuto No Ken....i mean i was going to name my first son Kenshiro....until i realized giving an african american newborn a psuedo japanese name was a little weird....and stupid......mostly stupid...why did i just jell you guys this????=/

I've never read FotNS but this game is making me seriously consider devoting a Saturday to catching up. Looks brilliant all-around.

This better be brought to north america. Anything made by Tecmo/Koei is worth my money.

What's wrong with the price? FYI in Japan Street Fighter 4 is the same price, and Resident Evil 5 is 8800Yen.

The PS2 "Fist of North Star" games were already in the 7xxx Yen mark. The copyright licensing cost a lot.

As much as I bad mouth Koei (and now Tecmo...) for their milking of their franchises... This game looks badass... do want! Hopefully it won't be region locked... argh! Expensive though...

I would go quarters on this with people to import it, with the plan that ultimatley be resold and money redistibuted. But 100 bucks, ill just wait.

So is this game a Street Fighter game or Streets of Rage type game?

Hell yes! I've been watching all the episodes on crunchyroll waiting for more info to get released on this. Kenshiro is, without a doubt, the ultimate badass. 80's anime at it's finest.

And, while playing the game, i might actually be able to save people. Unlike Ken. People die around Ken. A lot.

Yup do want to the extreme. This reminds me, of that berserk game that was on the PS2 that never got ported here.

Wrong. Warriors Orochi Z sadly went unreleased in the west. It was a PS3-exclusive compilation of WO 1 and 2 (the Dynasty-vs-Samurai Warriors games), with lots of new content such as an additional model for each of the nearly 100 playable characters. Most of this made it into the PSP version of WO2... but who the hell would want to play this kind of game on a handheld? /rant
