Wow, I had been sleeping on this game until now. After being very disappointed with Call of Juarez: BiB, I'm looking forward to another studio's attempt at the western front.

Call of Juarez was anything but disappointing for me. It had it's shortcomings, true, but it was a gorgeous game with great attention to detail. Unfortunately, it didn't have the words "grand theft," "gears," or "duty" in the title, so it got swept away pretty quickly.

This game, on the other hand, should perform much better... hopefully.

To be fair, I think CoJ:BiB was swept aside because it had more than a handful of jarring flaws, and not enough time in the development oven. Yes, it had beautiful vistas, but the brute-force scripting and forgettable storyline didn't do it many favors.

That said, I enjoyed the first Red Dead title, and this one looks fairly intriguing.

This game looks rad!

Why is it only Rockstar that uses the Euphoria engine successfully? I wish more developers would jump on it.

If GTA 4 was disappointing, you have strange standards.

As long as there's an online "free" mode, I'm happy!

And please... for the love of God... let's remove all the man-dating that was necessary in Grand Theft Auto 4. lol

Yeah, they took out exercising and eating to maintain muscle mass, how disappointing. Everything that was good about SA was in IV. I like the more realistic, gritty feel of IV.

If you want goofy and ridiculous over the top stuff, go hit up Saints Row 2. I hope GTA V or the next spin off is just as serious and intense.

im not talking about exorcising im talking about bmx's, mountains, flying airplanes, jets admit it u miss the hydra, all the good cheats like flying cars, super bunny hops, high jumps, base jumping, even the well known actors doin the voice overs like samuel l. jackson, chris pen, ice t, ray liota, dennis hopper, chuck d , and the game,
im not saying that it totally sucked i was just explaining that it didnt give me that "grand theft auto" feeling as when i first played gta 3, vice city, and san andreas.

u should at least remember that gta iv promised a few things and didnt deliver. like hanging from helicopters the back of trucks some of the guns from the trailers werent on the game,

"Vice City" was GTA paradise.
I didn't have some cellphone interface slowing me down, I could scale buildings with a jet pack, jump off those buildings, I had an assortment of weapons (not just a bat, a pistol, & 1 automatic weapon), I was able to take on armys without the half-assed cover system, & those character animations were perfectly acceptable on the PS2 but I can't understand why they couldn't improve them for GTA4. Even "Gay Tony" has that same robot animation where they move their arm & nod their head while talking.
GTA4 was mindless dribble!! Long & boring.

That is very rational of you, but I just can't help but see the potential in this. I really don't think they will mess this one up.

Heres $10 betting that this game will end up on PC just like GTA IV. Also perhaps Rockstar have thought from their mistakes, and hopefully will make a better port this time..

Man, I hope it's not a linear storyline. Because if the reviews of Uncharted 2 taught me anything it's that such a thing just isn't acceptable anymore.

Voice casting seems to be top-notch as usual for Rockstar games.

I for one am just hoping that it's gametime lasts longer than it's predecessor. Red Dead Revolver was a great game and some wonderful moments, but it ended much too soon.

Hey, is it just me, or does the main character sound like Josh Brolin? I wouldn't rule it out: he's already been in No Country For Old Men, which was basically a modern western, and he's gonna do Jonah Friggin' Hex.

R* is always good at making good trailers.
Unfortunately their games lately haven't lived up to them. I'm starting to get the feeling that San Andreas was the apex of their abilities.
I think gta4 is what happens when developers try too hard to prove that games are art. It was a very nice game and everything, just a really disappointing gta and unfortunately the ridiculously overpriced dlc didn't make it much better (not $20 better at least).
I don't think RDR is going to bomb but it isn't going to do as well for sure. Gta4 came near the end of a bad game drought and compared to what was out at the time, I can see why it got such rave reviews but since then we got Fallout 3, Fable 2, Infamous, and a bunch of other games that blew it away. Not only that but by 4-20(10) we're going to have even more great games coming out, especially after all those delays.
