Well I'll agree to save up for a "real" monitor if you promise to get a new pic (and stop being such a prick).

Jose so far has been:
A) Ostentatious
B) An Asshole.

Oh, bot, what's next?

This is Joystiq, not highschool.

Seeing as it's the equivelant to a 216-SP GTX260, yes.

Which makes me wonder why they didn't mention that.

Looks like I'm pre-ordering both of these games. I just realized that all that games I'm going to buy Q1 next year are going to be EA games.

Well looks like I'll be fine at max settings at 1440x900 with my pc.

T9900 @ 3.26GHz and 1066 MHz FSB
9800 GTX w/ 1GB dedicated DDR3
4GB DDR3 at 1333 MHz
Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate

Aww yea it's good to have a mobile gaming laptop that can run any current game at max settings (Crysis and all).

Your sepcs are impossible. Unless, you have a GPU sticking out of your laptop's side.

Should be M9800, as Nadril stated.

But good battery life BTW.

4 GB memory
Ati 4870 512mb
Windows Vista (I know I have to upgrade to 7)
562GB of free HDD space

Nice to see I can run it. I was worried about how much space it would take up :P

Thanks for reply!

Guess what, i can't run this... for now.
Guess my P4 is a bit outdated, :P

But, i'm going to buy a new Core i5 PC soon, with a Radeon 5750 graphics card and 4 gigs of ram. I can get that model with a slight discount and therefore a high bang-for-buck (actually, euro) rating. Just in time for Bad Company 2 :-D

Can you tell me why exactly why you suck when you don't overclock an i7? It are the fastest CPU's on the market anywayz so why would you?

Bartoman,

Personally, I'd go with an HD 5770 since it offers noticeably better performance (though the HD 57XX line seems to absolute flat-line at a resolution higher than 1920x1200 due to the 128 bit bus) for just a little more money; you'd be getting better bang for your buck. Or, you could wait for the availability of the HD5850 to improve during the early part of next year and grab one after the prices fall slightly; the MSRP did go up shortly after launch because demand is incredibly strong but supply is minimal.

Digressing for a moment, the poor availability of the HD5850 and higher prices are both products of the poor yield rates on TMSC's 40 nm node. It's not because the RV8XX chips are extremely large or complex (unlike NVIDIA's GT300), but because TMSC made a few mistakes they shouldn't have (more than a few sites have reported their equipment wasn't properly calibrated and they didn't get around to actually fixing it for weeks). It's telling that the yield rate of a manufacturing process improves shortly after it comes online (as it should) but then nosedives and actually becomes worse when it was new. It's crippling ATI's ability to adequately meet demand and it's compounded the troubles NVIDIA's been having getting their own DX11 part to market (they're on A2 silicon right now when they should've been on A3 or better months ago).

Thank you very much for the advice, I will take it into consideration. However, It's only this particular system that's on discount and i'm not really having a big budget to start with, but maybe I can get 5770 version for not too much more money from that shop. I'm not counting on it though, but again, thank you VERY much for the advice!

what would be a reason that an os would be recommended over another??
as far as i know both vista and win7 require more of a PC just to run the os itself so wouldn't the lightest OS provide the most available system power to the game.

unless they're just listing them due to the direct x levels they provide.

and i hope to god that this doesn't become a "GAMES FOR WINDOWS" game where Microsoft can screw with it

What Games for Windows games has MS screwed with? Off the top of my head, Fallout 3, Arkham Asylum and Bioshock are all great games, with no detectable influence from MS, and they're all GfW.

Does anyone know if this spec would work for the game:
4G Ram,
Processor: i7-720qm ( think this is quad core and I heard this works well)
Graphics: 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HP 4570

It's the graphics card that I'm not 100% sure about
