I totally forgot about the MoH franchise. I'm definitely interested to see where they take this. Although back in the day I did enjoy Battlefield 1942 over CoD over MoH.

Get in some nice Hans Zimmer middle-eastern-theme, lots of radio chatter with jargon like "zulu 6 4, this is echo 8 5, we are oscar mike 4 9ner", good voice acting, good gameplay, and good story .... and I'll be sold

David,
Isn't the fact that the worst player in the world can kill the best player one of the complaints against MW2? It's not balanced (unless you count prestige as a way of taking away the best player's guns for a while), but there still is definitely something fun about (maybe I just like calling in predator missiles so much).

Ben,
I too thought that the story was pretty cool, but whether its due to just cool set pieces (especially since I'm from DC) or an interesting story itself I don't know.

You know, people seem to forget that COD originally rode into power on the tails of the very successful MOH Allied Assault. MOHAA was one of the finest multiplayer shooters there has ever been on any platform.

Trouble is that pretty much all of its successors, starting with Speahead, were just awful. Most of the members of the original MOHAA development team left to create Infinity Ward, which spawned the COD franchise.

I have both hopes and doubts for the new MOH. Hopes because it would be really nice to see MOH come back from the grave, especially at a time when IW has decided to piss on PC gamers. But doubts because their track record with MOH titles has been very poor.

mmmmm FINALLY Medal of Honor comes back home! Medal of Honor was by far the best games compared to their CoD Counterparts by a LONG shot. Nuff said but seriously thou if they do succeed this should be very groundbreaking again as the first Medal of Honor was when it released. Gonna be following this game like a fat man after a cake.

Given EA's recent track record, I gotta say I'm excited about this.

Looks like it could be good! The only thing I really hated about the old Medal of Honor games was that every time you died, you had to start the ENTIRE level over. It was ridiculous. It was really frustrating. I remember Christmas 2007 I got Medal of Honor Airborne but exchanged it for a different game because I remembered that the Medal of Honor games made you restart the entire level. I know its supposed to make it more realistic but I can't deal with that. Gotta have checkpoints. I like that its going to be M (it says 18) because usually war games are better when they are M rated because its more realistic to have language and more blood. I think its kind of weird that DICE is developing the multiplayer, though. I hope they make it different than Battlefield. I like Battlefield's online, but its just not great. So I hope they make it have tons of customization and stuff. If not I'll probably just stick to MW2.

Guys thats not a rip off of ZZ Top, the person on the cover of that boxart is a member of the Green Berets and I will bet money on it. The Green Berets have been in Afganistan since the war started and they are supposed to grow their beards out to blend in better with the native people. Playing as Army Special Forces is going to be fun

This kind of misses the point of the news story, but my dumb fucking boss just looked over my shoulder reading this and said:

"Medal of Honor... wow, it's coming out for the PC, Xbox, *AND* PS3?"

I know we can't all be nerds but come on. Or maybe I just really hate my boss. It's okay to just say nothing, boss. It really is.
