a lot of people signed up for the MAG beta a few months back....then COMPLAINED that they "wasted their money" because they didn't get a beta code, when in all actuality the wording was "You are eligible to get a Beta code for MAG" nowhere did it GUARANTEE that you would get in....I can imagine more people will complain about this as well....
I subscribed for Qore for the content...not a code....and I haven't been disappointed yet...
i agree. i didnt jump on qore because i knew i could get it free somewheres down the line. and i did. so im in MAG battlefield and Modnation racer from buying LBP goty ed.
I'm subscribe to Qore and I doubt I will be renewing when the time comes. Besides the sweet betas, the content is sparse. They rarely have any info about games that isn't already on blogs and screenshots you could view on any major gaming site.
But! Combine this with the occasional free PS1 game, the special themes, the content AND all the other betas you may have access to and it's easily worth the $25.
yeah, maybe it is worth in money enough to justify the $25, but if you ask me, Id never buy any of that stuff you just mentioned so it is not worth anything to me.
:D This makes me happy. I was ticked that the people who waited a year to get LBP got a code, and I didn't :D I signed up for Qore in July, and I really like it. I like getting a new theme every month, and getting free stuff once in a while, in addition to watching the videos and looking at the galleries and stuff.
is it to late to buy older episodes to get other free downloads? the only episode i bought was the one that came with spyro. not a fan of the but it only $2.99. and its a good game.
$25 ain't enough for me to subscribe to Qore just for a ModNation Racers beta. I been lucky enough to get into HOME without even subscribing to Qore. I tried out the first issue and didn't like it plus I used to get free codes with Playstation The Official Magazine until they stopped doing it. Its basically a video service and I can see the latest issue of Qore on youtube for free. Not bashing Qore subscribers but $25 plus tax can spend on other things.
Gee, Xbox gets ripped about a paid service, but most of the drivel on Qore is part of silver on xbox - gameplay videos etc. I think I may have paid for an episode plus there were a couple of freebies. And you still don't get a decent voice service (haven't used my bluetooth headset for a ps3 game yet) or generally any compelling reason to play online vs. 360. I've loved some of the exclusive titles (uncharteds, lbp, fl0w flower, etc., not so much the lackluster KZ2) and bluray movies, but I still keep paying for Live and buying 360 versions of non-exclusives because its just better - and downloads for demos come down about 4x faster.
My personal experience with Qore was meh at best. I paid the annual subscription for the first year and ended up buying a lot of the games offered for free before they were actually free, so I ended up wasting most of that $25.
