Little-known "steampunk fantasy" game Edge of Twilight (hey, Tim Langdell, that's your cue) has apparently gone over the horizon and into oblivion. Kotaku cites sources at Australia-based Fuzzyeyes Studios (which may have shut down) that claim the game ceased development months ago. The title was supposed to release this year on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
The last we'd seen of Edge of Twilight was a Japanese trailer released in late 2008. When contacted today, publisher SouthPeak Games offered, "No comment." If the rumor is true, don't be too sad about missing out on Fuzzyeyes' God of War–inspired title. After all, the original Ghost of Sparta will star in a new installment early next year -- and there's always Dante's Inferno.

I'd never even heard of this game.
Says a lot about why it was canned.

Actually, it's been featured several times on the site. For you, the permanent denizen of Joystiq, I'm surprised you're not more familiar with it! This trailer intrigued me anyway, the presentation is decent:

Music's pretty much perfect, I actually made the acquaintance of the composer due to this game. Ah well. File it under "could have been".

Damn, I was really looking forward to seeing how this would turn out. You don't see almost anything with a steampunk feel that actually captures the spirit of that design genre, and Edge of Twilight looked like it might just get it right.

Too many rabid Twilight: New Moon fans hounding them with complaints about how their vampires didn't sparkle. It's understandable that they folded under that kind of pressure.
