Stop tempting me Star Trek.

It'll only be short relationship anyway, until I break it off for The Old Republic.

The only way I'm buying this game is if I can have my very own Galaxy Class Starship and I can name it USS Mittens

Reasonable price? lol. $80 is standard for virtually every special edition of any game in the last few years.

You have to go 18 seconds into a 55-second trailer before you even see game footage. What the hell?

Atleast it's not a Final Fantasy trailer with ZERO gameplay footage.

BA-ZING!

Seriously...

You forgot the tag though. That was up another good 7 seconds. So it's like 25 seconds in a 55 second video.

Not bad, not bad. Personally, I prefer the uniforms from Wrath of Khan-Undiscovered Country/Generations.

This is fucking absurd. I would pay for that. But there isn't Gamestops in Canada (at least none in BC). And there's no way I'm paying $80 US plus shipping fees. Why can't they offer all retailers this package, so I can order it from futureshop.ca or amazon.ca and get it by paying Canadian funds without having unnessicary shipping charges.

When are game companies going to learn that these exclusive deals with retailiers only hurt themselves because they severely limit who can purchase these special editions.

I'm almost so pissed off, I might just forgo Star Trek Online altogether... ... (key word being almost... for now).

all these collector's edition, and limited edition are such crap. They drop in price so quick and aren't really as good as advertised.

You're also missing that the Gamestop version apparently has exclusive access to the Constitution-class vessel.

Reserve Star Trek Online and receive a GameStop exclusive in-game Starfleet Constitution Class Starship. This unique, upgradable starship comes equipped with blue phasers and an extra engineering station mod slot. Available online and in-store while supplies last.

The wording is vague, so I don't know if they're the only ones that get a Constitution-class vessel or if theirs is the only one with blue phasers.

Does that say NCC-1701 on the bow? Or is it 17 something else?

Naah, the new model is actually canonically incorrect (way too long) but Abrams circumvented it because he was in an alternate timeline. It's too low res to see if it says 1701 or Enterprise on it.

Upon closer inspection, I have determined that the hull, does indeed identify it as the USS Enterprise registry number NCC-1701. You can JUST BARELY make out the beginnings of the word Enterprise.

Unless I am mistaken, that is the constitution class vessel from the Original Series.
Take a look here:
http://onceuponageek.com/images/enterprise-tos.jpg

That alone makes the preorder from gamestop worth it, as it would be much cooler to have the ORIGINAL Enterprise than a pet Tribble or Borg bridge officer.
