The product placement in this game is completely out of control:

The rage gamer nerds get in to over in-game product placement is incredibly hilarious.

Whoa whoa whoa, there was a first PSP (heh) released? Was it released outside the U.S?

In March. But it was severely neutered by the inability to download extra missions.

I agree this in game advertising is kinda annoying. But I like most in game advertising. It doesn't sway me to buy a product that much, but it helps a game feel a bit more real when I see a Pepsi sign rather than some lame generic soda brand sign. At least in a modern game. Fanta in the future seems a bit too....fruity for my tastes. (I know it was bad, but I had to).

Well thought out product placement doesn't bother me in the least. Billboards in a racing game? Sure, go ahead. Advertisements on the boards of NHL? Be my guest. If the game has a bag of chips as a recurring item? Sure, name them after an actual product.

Placement like this is... jarring, to say the least.

I thought that was a photoshop job at the start - for the purposes of humour.
