ha haaa funny!

I'm actually looking forward to this, I haven't touched my PSP since I beat God of War. Probably because I got my PS3 around that time, so hey.

Also, I miss the active homebrew community the PSP once had :(

At first I intended to harass you for what seemed to be poor judgment.

Then I got it, and I feel happier as a result.

You, sir, are not alone. =)

@Ashitaka:
It's a pun. The title is MGS: Peace Walker and the verb he's suggesting is "walks" instead of "steps."

Anyway, I'm going to be torn between picking up this game in Japanese vs picking up the David Hayter-is-so-fucking-awesome edition.

Kojima: "Because of the file size limitations on the UMD, I had to cut a lot of gameplay elements on the PSP version to make room for more cutscenes. The trade-off seems reasonable."

Did he ACTUALLY say that?

also, can't they do two-UMD games or is that just technologically not possible?

While funny, that was a hard one to catch there.

But I wouldn't be surprised if he said that. He loves his cutscenes. I love cutscenes too, but I also enjoy playing.

That was actually a though one, because it is fairly believable. You should be careful the next time you try and pull a sarcastic joke about Kojima.

That's a super soldier for yah!

I actually clicked this, knowing full well that someone would ask this question.

Reason he would still hold his gun like that? He's right handed. It would probably be easier to adjust looking with your left eye then it would be to completely switch your stance., not to mention the shell casings would probably hit his arm if he did. That, or they were just lazy when modeling him.

Kojima has said that he considers this to be the sequel to MGS4, while the upcoming console release with Raiden is more of an off-shoot. And it's the MGS4 team working on Peacewalker.

Unless Rising takes place in a parallel universe then it has as much rights as a sequel as Peacewalker does but It doesn't really matter what Kojima says. Peacewalker is as much of a spin-off as Rising is.

Here it is a game that could have been made for the PS3, but no Sony needs to keep its PSP afloat, well eff you Sony, all we going to get now is a bad port of MGRS. I hope this game flops, that will teach em

A bad port of MGRS?! WTF?! First off what, what the hell is MGRS?! Metal Gear Rising?! Rising is set in a different decade in the Metal Gear series. Therefore, Peace Walker can't be a port when it's an ORIGINAL game! Second, I don't think Kojima has ever really made a bad game. He's made some titles that aren't super fantastic, but not bad. Even if the game is super fantastic, a majority of his games become cult classics.

Why? Every game is playable on custom firmware and every game HAS been playable on custom firmware. Sony cant stop piracy...Well for the Phat and Slim at least

I was under the impression that the CFW version number had to match the retail version of the OFW or what's required on the UMD.

the pirate = FAIL.

All games are playable if the firmware required for that game is = or < the custom firmware on your psp.

since the psp hacking scene is dying quickly, we probably wont see another higher firmware (at least for a long time).

example- MGS:PW required firmware 6.xx

well there are no 6.00 cfws to match that, so it is not playable (until said CFW comes out)

That's not Snake...
It's the Big Boss......

Snake has 2 eyes and a burnt face following
Guns of the Patriots.....

Even if you lost an eye you wouldn't
switch shoulders, and most rifle training teaches
you to aim with both eyes, not one.....
