Aside from that, it also shows how much better the game looks compared to its Wii counterpart -- all of those Ps really make a difference. Be sure to check out the last few seconds of the trailer, which show us the Japanese version of the game just may not be censored after all. The original censored Wii game certainly didn't have that much blood in it!

Looks like one, but let's see if it plays like one.

Is there anything more than just updated graphics?

Um, there's a pretty big difference if you've ever played a Wii game on an HDTV. They look absolutely awful, a simple increase in resolution does help a lot.
Even then, it looks noticeably better. Plus no more waggle!

Like Filthy said, the HD resolution is going to make for a world of difference.
Beyond that, it's easy to see that the textures are better, the lighting is better, and it isn't full of horrible aliasing like the wii version.

I think it's a big improvement. Maybe not the best looking game ever, but they kept the style and increased the texture resolutions while adding things like normal mapping and better lighting. I think if you were to compare them side by side there would be a huge difference.
I played some of the original, but I don't really like the wii's controls so I might have to pick this one up.

I'd think the game would feel much more sterile without the motion controls, but that's just me. Replacing those finishers with button taps or whatever would just be unsatisfying.
Though the graphical improvements do highlight the positives about the game's original choice in artistic style

It could be the single greatest port in the history of gaming and you would still try to justify how the Wii one is better.

But he's right. Most of the reason I liked no more heroes is because of how the motion controls actually added to the satisfaction of the game. I'd get the new version just for the updated graphics, but this is one of the few games that really benefits from motion controls.

Oh yh he's also the voice of Komui in D.Greyman. the only other voice i recognise is the guy who does the voices of Zoro from One Piece, Hijikata from Gintama, Mugen from Samurai Champloo. its the voice talking at the end of the video so i think it was the main character's but i wouldnt no because i havent played the wii version. A question i have although i think i already no the answer is does this game (or did the previous releases) have the Japanese audio as an option?

I noticed that Shinobu is voiced by Kitamura Eri, who played Otonashi Saya in Blood Plus. She gets to play a sword-slashing girl once again. Also of note, a look at Wikipedia said Kari Wahlgren, the English Blood Plus Saya/Diva, plays another character in this game. I suppose you could say that both Saya and Diva make appearances here.

"frantically jerking off a wiimote to maintain beam power."
Oh god. I don't know whether I should laugh or cry. Funny indeed, but bad images come to mind.

The whole point about the Beam Katana recharge was to make it look like you WERE jerking off.

It's... Not really a joke. The game made you do a jerking-off motion to recharge, and Travis himself actually puts the saber near his dick when he does it.
The OP was completely accurate.

I think so, I found it (and all the motion controls) annoying after a while, that's why I never finished the game, along with having to squint through the low-res graphics. It was funny at first.

The only motion controls involved in the Wii version were for the wrestling moves and recharging your Katana

It also had quick swipes for decapitations, angle for up/down stance, and spinning the wiimoteto get out of having "locked" blades with someone. There was also a baseball mini-game that used motion controls in the Dr. Peace level. Plus, job minigames such as the lawn mowing used motion control.

Yes, I realize the game actually had you shake the Wiimote to charge the battery of the Beam Katana - and for humor, they made Travis do it in a way that looked suggestive. If that bothers you, you probably shouldn't be playing a game rated M. If it's the motion in general that bothers you, I feel really sorry for you. I played all the way through the game and enjoyed it all, and not one second did I get tired or annoyed by having to move my hands.

Your eyes must be pretty bad. How did you ever survive through the sixth generation of consoles and earlier?

On older TVs it wasn't really that noticeable, but on an HDTV the Wii is jaggies ahoy.
Though actually playing Gamecube games on it (and PS2 games on PS3) aren't as bad as Wii games. I have no idea why this is.

Well what I'm really wondering are two things: One, is the game coming to the US?
And two, will the PS3 version use the sixaxis for finishing moves and stance?

Ubisoft has no intentions of localizing the game, regardless of the fact that they published NMH1 and NMH2 in the US.
No word on SixAxis control.

I'm pretty sure they're not taking away the English voice option seeing how there's more space on either console.

I hope both Wii games are combined into one for this title.
The graphics certainly look better, but in order to be enough the gameplay will need some improvements too. Action games tend to be repetitive after a while, but its the ones that make the repetitiveness enjoyable that are popular. Maybe NMH can turn that around

I don't get why people are complaining about the lack of gameplay footage.. it's the exact same game as on the Wii. If you're wondering what the gameplay will be like, go play the original. It's that without the motion controls. This trailer does a good job of showing off the HD improvements to the visuals.

1) I can't imagine playing this game without the Wiimote. The game would feel like a generic hack n'slash without those controls.
2) I can't believe the trailer revealed that many bosses. That's like revealing most of the colossi for Shadow of the Colossus in a trailer! I dunno, sorta ruins the fun.

It's a PORT of game that's ALMOST TWO YEARS OLD. If you're really worried about spoilers at this point, then too bad. Play the real version of the game, I'm sure you can get it for super-cheap.
