I think it looks quite fun, that free dlc should be cool too

Can't decide whether to get this or Assassin's Creed 2, what do you think?

Go with AC2, imo. Saboteur looks like a game I would definitely rent first.

Yea, AC2 I think. AC2 has been getting quite a bit of attention from me the past few days, however last night I just had to go back to Demon's Souls since that game is like crack to me...

Rent them both, I finished all the achievements in AC 2 in about 20-30 hours and have no interest in ever picking it up again. It was fun, but a real one playthrough kinda game.

Yeah, im in the UK but we have a company like Gamefly. Its called Lovefilm. You pay £20 a month and you can rent unlimited games with 3 discs at a time. Pretty amazing. Unfortunately they tend to send the shit games before the good ones. For example. They sent me Rouge Warrior over The Saboteur today...*sigh*

With Gamefly we only get 2 games out at a time. Which is pretty solid. 3 seems like a lot at once. But we are in the same boat with our service. They send a lot of junk games before the good ones. Mostly due to people having new titles on their list months before release.

sam once you been with them long enough you get the option to have 4 out at a time for like $38/month...its not too much as I tend to beat a game every 2-3 days and send it back...so I usually don't have more than 2 or 3 games in my hand at a time anyways

Really? That's pretty cool. I haven't had my gamefly account active for nearly a year now. I can finally activate it again this month. With my work schedule though I have never been able to juggle even 2 games at a time. I usually got 2 games to keep one on the side during shipping times after beating the other. How are their shipping times these days?

it varies depending on where you stay.....but it usually takes them 2-3 days to get a game I send back and 3-4 days for me to get a game they send out.....

if they would simply allow for next day delivery with their games for an optional fee then I think that would help a lot as well....I mean its obvious they don't have the funding to pull a netflix and have a few hundred distribution centers.....so they can do the next best thing and just overnight things.....at least do priority which is always 2-3 days no matter where to...

Awesome. Do you know if they still utilize post office scans? When I had it sometimes, not always, once the post office scanned it they would send the new one out before they even got it.

yea that varies by location.....some of the rural post offices don't utilize that but more and more do....in my location they do sometimes.....quite weird actually....some games they "receive" in a day thru that confirmation but that usually just the big blockbuster titles....

Thats the thing Lovefilm are stunning at. Shipping times. every game is sent Next Day and it always arrives the next day. Ive been with them 2 years and ive NEVER had a game come late. Its always been next day. So...Say i send back a game on Monday. They'll get the game Tuesday, send out my new one Tuesday and ill get my new one on Wednesday.

Lovefilm is a really solid service; had a 3 month free trial earlier this year, didn't carry it on cos I got through all the games on my list. Too efficient for their own good!

Well, lovefilm only has to ship a game, at most, a few hundred miles within the U.K.

The U.S. is vast.

I'm not surprised our service takes longer.

I will probably wait for a decent price drop, but I think buying this one is inevitable. They really tried for something interesting here, hopefully there is still enough development crew to patch any significant bugs found after release.

I will buy this game because it looks good and justin seems to like it (as well as other reviewers), but I am fairly reluctant to doing so in thinking where my money will go. I hate what EA has done by firing the developers before the new year and holidays and before the game has been relased. They have only done this to use the "bad" economy as an excuse to make lay offs.

As bad as people loosing their jobs is and all, I can't blame EA for shutting down Pandemic as such. Reading this sounds just like the bit of experience I had with Mercenaries 2.

What I'm really surprised about is that this review actually mentions that about Pandemic and its games instead of doing the usual lamentation about how another great developer got shut down by his evil parents corporation.
