So, this is why they delayed the PC version then? To give the best experience possible? Not complaining then. : )

I had a few of the trophies glitch on me and not give.
I had to replay the first DNA sequence just for a story silver so I could get the platinum.

Yes, I meant this problem could have been solved using multiple save files, instead of having a bug that far in the game with no way out other than completely restarting the game.

I haven't encountered the glitch in question, but I have encountered many others.

The target markers will follow me around after an assassination if there are multiple targets in the mission. I think this is tied into using eagle vision during the kill itself.

Occasionally the game has gone white, with the blinking objective exclamation mark being the only non-white thing on the map. But the game continues on, as I can here people chiding Ezio for bumping into them, etc.

I'm sure there's others out there besides the ones enumerated in the list. Shameful!

Only bug I've ever encountered was when I tried to fast travel to the villa, I would get stuck at the loading screen as Ezio, where you could only run and punch. It only happened about 3 times in 30+ hours of play, though. Also, the glitch Matt_M mentioned happened to me, as well.

As for this glitch, it sucks, to be sure, but anybody that quits during an out-of-Animus sequence is dumb to begin with... so this is completely avoidable. Just take two seconds, get back into the Animus and save. Desmond sequences never last long, anyway.

yep happened to me first week I got it. I have since started over. I emailed ubi about it and they told me to refer to the game manual. I shut mine off during the cut scene cause my audio was acting up (not related to the 360 related to my reciever) I was pissed.

I've been playing AC2 since it came out and haven't ran into anything remotely close to what this bug is supposed to do. For the most part, the Ubisoft Montreal QA team did a good job on filtering out most of the bugs and glitches present during development. In my experience, the only noteworthy glitch I can think of is the glitch I like to refer to as the "Renaissance Walk". It's where Ezio suddenly starts walking forward by himself, resulting in a total loss over character control due to conflicting in-game geometry. The Renaissance Walk continues until Ezio ends up bumping into to something at precisely the right angle, breaking him free of the polygon tangle. It happened to me once. Overall, I still feel Ubisoft is pretty good at avoiding these kind of problems.

People need to stop complaining.

Games now adays are bigger and more complex than they ever have been. No game in history has ever shipped with not a single bug in it, if you think they have then you are kidding yourself. The more complicated games become the harder and harder it is going to be to find every single bug. I know several people in the game industry who have worked as QA testers and let me tell you, game developers (good ones at least) do everything they possibly can to find bugs in games, but it is absolutely impossible to test every possible combination of things that can be done in a game, things are going to get missed.

At least these days we all have the luxury of having consoles with some form of built in storage and high speed internet so that when a bug is found after release it can be patched and fixed. We should all be very happy that we have this luxury now, we didn't have it in the "good old days" when games supposedly shipped bug free.

I can assure you this glitch is very real however you don't NEED to turn of the system; all you need to do is exit the session. Even if you just go to the dashboard, it happens. Just happened to me an hour ago. Found all glyphs, statues etc and even solved all of those glyph puzzles without any help. Thanks to my OCD, I play Ezio's part in Italian and Desmond's part in English. So after beating the Spaniard, I go to the dashboard, do a few things, start the game back up and well...it won't load...just black screen. Alright whatever, just restart the system right? Yeah it loads then but I was stuck in that damn building,(Desmond all alone) which apparently is floating over an ocean...

Basically Desmond is stuck in the training facility, there is no one there, you can't access the Animus and there is an exit where it should lead into another room, instead you fall out of the building into an endless ocean.

I'll have Jade Raymond's head for this...

I actually fell through the map while getting all the viewpoints In florentine... (you end up swimming for eternity).. Shouldve seen the look on the guards' faces.. "Mierde!! He's getting away!!" Fixed--but inconvenienced--by quitting the game..

I completed the game (PS3 version) without this happening. I wish I was able to replay missions. The first game lets you do it, and even Bloodlines lets you do it, so it's BS that AC2 doesn't.

Yeah... I'd like to see you almost complete the game to find a glitch like the one mentioned and if you then wanted to see the ending having to waste all those hours of your life getting back to where you were...

Just finished this game last night, the last couple hours of this game just felt like a grind fest. Same as the first game, kill, run away, collect money, repeat.

It was fun for a while but just seemed forced at times.

I had a glitch in the dream sequence when you chase the girl to the top of the tower. I could not grab onto one of the ledges, very annoying made me put down the game for a while.

So with the ability to patch console games these days, the consumer does the final phase of QA for the developer & publisher. Nice.
