The American version of White Knight Chronicles has just earned a release date and a subtitle. SCEA is calling it the "International Edition," thanks to the addition of 50 new quests, voice chat, Georama and Live Talk. However, we think "The Incredibly Tardy Edition" is probably a more apt title, considering the 14-month wait fans have had to endure.
White Knight Chronicles' February 2nd release date places it before other big 2010 games on PS3, such as BioShock 2, Dante's Inferno, Star Ocean, Heavy Rain, and most importantly -- our lord and savior Final Fantasy XIII. We wonder if Level-5's Yoshiaki Kusada will be happy with the distance between these two PS3 RPG juggernauts.

At this point, I'm just down voting you for the sheer pleasure of clicking that little minus button.

Oh, it's on my list as well. But for Average Schmuck Gamer, he's not likely to take this over the bigger AAA titles.

Agreed, Darth.
This is horrible, though.. Bioshock 2, Dante's Inferno, SO4, and freakin' WKC all in the same two weeks..
Sigh. =P

Don't forget Mass Effect 2. That one is late enough to be considered part of February.

Yeah I'll still be playing ME2 by February 2.
Not that I was going to play this anyway, seeing as it's a jrpg...but still I'm sure many others will be on ME2 still.

Here, this is Chris's (Chris' ?) official reply and thoughts on the whole mess:

He will probably be taking a look at this thread anyways, but I'm sure the last thing he wants to do is spend all day repeating himself.

Man, the first 4 months of 2010 is gonna be insane for me. There is at least 2 games that i plan on purchasing in each month between Jan and April.
By the rate of releases so far in the first quarter of the year, I'm scared and excited to see what holiday 2010 will have in store for gaming....

- GoW Collection
- Lost Planet 2
- Bayonetta
- Army of 2 2
- MAG
- Bioshock 2
- WK Chronicles
- Heavy Rain

I've lost all faith in Level 5 for console gaming, and with them not making Dark Cloud 3 (i'm not sure if I even want them to make it anymore) but I guess I could gamefly this anyway. Who knows, it may revitalize my interest in jrpgs....ok probably not.

C'mon, Joystiq. Stop downvoting people for an inoffensive opinion. He's not the only one who wants a Dark Cloud 3 over this.

I will be getting this, SO4, GoW3 (yes I know this is not an RPG) and FFXIII.... I am more of an RPG fan than anything else, and owning Folklore, Eternal Sonata, Valkyrie Chronicles, Disgaea 3, Cross Edge and Demons Souls, I can't let any of those RPG's slip by. Heck, FF13 and SO4 where two reasons I never second guess buying my PS3 when I did (80GB MotorStorm bundle). I am also looking forward to Tales of Vesperia in the new year. Even though its not great...I am waiting for Magna Carta 2 to be announce for the PS3 also.

*"Georama allows you to construct a town of your very own, using a vast variety of buildings, trees, and other parts to customize the place to your liking. More stuff gets unlocked as your town grows, and you can also invite NPCs from the game to move to your burg, where they may open shops and offer you items you can't get anyplace else." - 1UP

It's about time! Although all these great releases from late 2009/early 2010 are putting a dent in my wallet, I'm still anxious for many of these releases.
Now back to some of the games I still have yet to finish... :)

There are so many games coming out between now and mid-2010 I just can't keep up. Just might have to start a gamefly subscription.

I know I'll get a thumbs down, but this game is pretty mediocre. Everything about it feels mind-nimbingly clunky and outdated -- except the online -- but Demon's Souls did online SP/MP integration much better.
