Uh...I didn't really care for any of them.

Except the Bigger Than Cheeses one, that was pretty good.

To be honest, I found it to be pretty funny. To be brutally honest, I didn't think it was the funniest of all the strips. To be more honesty than brutally honest, I can easily see your strip winning Weekly Webcomic in the near future.
Keep trying, you're doing well.

I thought it was well done as well, I actually liked quite a few of them this week. Just had to vote for yours though, since seeing those screens was part nostalgia as well as that it was funny.

Your comic is bad, sorry. Honestly I think it's kinda bullshit that ours hasn't made the wrapup just because it's called Assfuck Jamboree.

@Filthy,
well, you could always change the name from Assfuck Jamboree to something else :D

I voted for yours because it was very simple yet instantly funny. Witchblades was all right, but it was the old wall o' text. Good capture of the Metal Slug dude.

I found the AC2 one from Another Videogame Webcomic the funniest, but the Penny Arcade one "Witchblades" that pokes fun at the ridiculousness of some of the stuff they put in MW2 made me nod my head in agreement too much to not vote for it, so it gets my vote.

Seriously Infinity Ward? Guys who can sprint around the map without ever getting tired and whip out a knife faster then any human being possibly could, then lunge at you at inhuman lengths to stab you in the face? I get that it's a video game but come on here. Marathon, Lightweight, Commando, and the tactical knife are gonna be the fucking end of me here.

And don't even get me started on Akimbo shotguns...

@ Sly

It's an overpowered and unrealistic class set up. If you wanna use it, go right ahead, but if I match up with you I'm gonna leave when the game's over. The same can be said for all those kids running around with Akimbo shotguns and AA-12s. I'm not gonna quit mid game or something, but I'm not gonna go out of my way to play with people like you.

As an aside, while I feel that MW2 has some balancing issues, I think it's a much more balanced then MW1 was, and I feel the maps you play in don't cater to unskilled and unbalanced play styles nearly as much. It ain't perfect, but it's definitely an improvement.

Double shotgun dudes ARE dog rapists!! I hate them!

(also, is there some wild physics of shot fire I am unaware of, that when firing 2 shotguns, it magically allows them to be effective from long distances......)

When in reality, they pretty much already are.

That aside, I agree that akimbo shotgunners have extreme dog lust and cannot hold back.

Omega lets see you try to fire two shotguns simultaneously with flawless accuracy. Better yet lets get a trained military officer to fire two shotguns simultaneously with flawless accuracy. It won't happen.

That's the whole point of a shotgun, to have a widespread bunch of bullets come out so you don't have to aim all that well. And yeah, at close range it'll blow a hole through you, at long range, you have a good chance of it hitting you but won't be AS lethal as close range.

hyperion, you could say that about ANY gun in COD. being accurate with double shotguns isn't nearly as crazy as hipfiring a .50 cal while running. it doesn't bother me at all since COD isn't exactly known for realistic multiplayer.

the sniper tricks are much worse than the shotty stuff IMO. Shotguns in video games always get a bad rap at 10+ yards out.

"That's the whole point of a shotgun, to have a widespread bunch of bullets come out so you don't have to aim all that well."

Thats a misconception perpetuated by movies and television shows. Different types of munitions will have different spray patterns, pellet sizes (some with a large led slug instead of pellets) and amounts of gunpowder (look at the shell and the amount of brass on the end is the amount of powder.) Shotguns are best used for crowd control in a civil unrest situation or door breaching techniques for lae enforcement when a battering ram won't work.

A birdshot or small game shell will have smaller pellets and depending on the manufacturer less spread where as a self defense "buckshot" round can have larger pellets or just an individual large caliber "slug." Ideally you want to test different shells out with your shotgun (in real life of course) as each gun and shell have their own unique spray patterns. Shotguns can be very effective at intermediate and longer ranges but it depends on the type of munition you are using. The barrel is long and the line of sight is good so typically they are very accurate ... assuming you are properly supporting it.

Saying that shotguns are for people who can't aim is incorrect from my experience. You won't be anymore accurate with a shotgun than you will be with an M4 / AR15 if you don't properly aim. Now, shotguns are good for home defense and bad for home defense ... they can be a deturrent to an unarmed person trying to break into the house simply because of the sound of pumping a shell (chik-chik sound) as it's a sound everyone knows. But, they can be bad because 1. they are very large and can be ineffective around tight spaces and 2. collateral damage. They can penetrate through walls (depending on the gauge and shell) easily and can wound innocent people or even neighbors (same thing with most rifles) which is why for home defense a pistol is still the best choice in my opinion.

I think everyone should have a shotgun in their home arsenal along with at least two handguns and a rifle (or one gun for each person in the household) but you really need proper training, threat assesments on your home (where is everyone going to go if something happens), different types of shotgun loads for different situations and proper training on how to sweep an area with a shotgun.

Again ... it's a myth that a shotgun is for people who can't aim and any shot will kill just because of pellet spread.

was there a year 1 AD or CE or whatever you want to call it?

Kinda, but that didn't happen until well after "year one" had passed which means that there is just as much a year zero as a year one, right?

Basically what i'm trying to say is that it doesn't matter and that people celebrate an arbitrary number anyway is beyond me. Just let them do their thing and we can all be happy.

"...the 21st century began with 1 January 2001..."

That would make 2010 the 10th year of the 21st century
