Dead Space 2 announced for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360

Do us a favor and read the following sentence really slowly -- seriously, savor it. It's been hinted and teased at enough to give the world's remaining necromorphs a heart attack, but Dead Space 2 has finally been officially announced for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Now, you might be wondering why you had to take your time with that easily understandable sentence. Well ... we don't really have anything else to tell you. It's still Visceral, it's still Isaac Clark, it's still the necromorph invasion. We don't even have a release window. The best thing EA has to say is, "Survival isn't the only thing on Isaac's mind in Dead Space 2 – this time, he calls the shots," which makes it sound like our engineer protagonist dumped his abusive boyfriend and moved to the big city to work in an office pool with Dolly Parton and Morgan Fairchild.
... Actually, that sounds pretty good.

"this time, he calls the shots" Ugh. This means too many people complained that they didn't like his character being silent.
If you paid attention he was plenty expressive behind the mask, making him a perfect silent protagonist. Instead, he's gonna be some kinda gruff badass who's been through hell stereotype.
I can live with it. I love Dead Space and I NEED a sequel!

Excellent. The first game earned its spot in my permanent classic collection and I'll never get rid of it. I have very high hopes for the sequel.

---SPOILER---
Weird that is with Isaac again. I thought he was dead by the end. Are there to different endings? In mine he was unarmed and unprepared when he was attacked inside the cockpit in a very small space. The guy was a badass but he was no Rambo. Aside, would the sequel take place on the same ship? There wasn't anyone else alive there, so how lonely would this game feels? And if is not on the sameplace, why the heck would that fella get involved with all of this again?!
Anyway, I hope they do fix the single issue the game had: Isaac's lack of personality. Giving him a voice and some opinions of his own would be a tremendous improvement on the last game.
Day one for me anyway. Dead Space was the game RE wanna be when it grown up.

Popular theory is that it was just a hallucination. Or maybe he just used his curb stomp of doom.
Also, maybe he's one of those 'hero' guys and, I dunno, wants to save the universe? :) Either that or 'calling the shots' doesn't mean he went after the necromorphs on purpose, it's just that in the situation he's talking control as opposed to fetching part X to go in machine Y ... again.
I do agree that they should give him some more personality, but for the record if you read the mission logs they're actually in 1st person and highlight some of his thoughts on what's happening pretty well.

We can only hope this will be as good without Schoefield at the helm, I believe he was behind the entire presentation of the original. That's what I gathered from the interviews anyway.
