Not yet,I haven't got a chance to unlock the Model 1887 Akimbo yet.Let me be cheap for 10 matches then nerf it all you want.

I have used several times in MP,since there is always someone ruining around with them so is just matter of going ninja on them.Let me tell you that weapon is broken,every time I get my hands on it predator missiles,pave lows and AC130 come guaranteed.

that's not a glitch. they're a bit overpowered, but since they're unlocked at 67, it's not a problem since everyone is prestiging like crazy. i don't really have a problem with getting better guns for leveling up.

No, it is not a glitch, it is a balancing issue which needs to be fixed. I've seen an entire team with them, and it is no fun playing when they have a sniper rifle, to take people out at long range, and dual-wielding 1887s for every other range.

Dual wielding has to be the worst "addition" to the game. It looks ridiculous, and is horribly unbalanced.

it's not a balancing issue either. you get it 3 levels before prestige. considering there are very few people staying at 70, you only encounter 1887's every once in a blue moon, at least on PS3. i haven't seen 1887's in 2 days, and that's only because my friend was using them while getting through 67-70 in the first prestige 3 days ago.

Plenty of people are abUSING them. It is overpowered. If they gave you a weapon that automatically aimed at an enemy and killed in one bullet, you would be fine if it was given to level 70s?

It is ruining my enjoyment, as well as many others. It is an obvious oversight, and I don't see how any sane person would think otherwise. Leveling doesn't take long anyways, and I've seen many other people using it.

Really? It's ruining your enjoyment? Don't let them get close enough to use those akimbo shottys. Problem solved. I realize that the 67 shotty has a longer range, but it is still within what I like to call the "if someone sees you before you see them, you are screwed" range. Do you think you'd stand a better chance if they had a P90?

It's great Infinity ward finally made a stand to provide this patch on Xbox and PS3. It was reported as well that the 1.06 patch also corrects another multiplayer glitch known as the mutiple package care. See how it works:

1. Really surprised Infinity Ward is actually going to fix their game.
2. "the patch is currently in the hands of Microsoft for certification on Xbox 360" This could take a while.

Not really. Content patches take about 2 weeks to get passed, and urgent bug fixing patches (aka, this one) take much less.

I have yet to run into any of these glitches on the PC version. Either they're not in the game, or everyone who's going to cheat just uses an aimbot/wallhack. I've seen plenty of them. Including my roommate.

Bungie, Ubisoft, Guerrilla, EA...etc The list goes on and on with developers of top FPS that take a lot longer even though they have the bank. I gotta give it to IW this really shows the dedication to their product and knocks up their respect level a couple of notches in my eyes.

Bungie? Were there glitches in Halo 3 to begin with? I never knew / experienced any. and IW has not fixed their netcode that has been the same since COD2, where according to opponents killcams (presumably their screen as well) all of your actions are delayed by at least 0.5 seconds on their screen allowing you to die in many situations which are impossible according to your screen.

I'm going to wave my bullshit flag on this one. Bungie was always tweaking the Halo 3 multiplayer expirence for balance and fairness, and Guerrilla games had a Killzone patch out within a few weeks of the glitching.

That said, I'm glad their fixing those glitches, but what about the akimbo 1887s, the combat knife speed runners, or the fast pull snipers. The sniper fast pull literally takes perfect timing to pull off, so you usually don't see people doing it often, but the combat knife speed runners and akimbo 1887s have gotten really bad.

@da coo kid eric

Halo 3 has BXB and auto stick glitches throughout multi-player. Plus if you think back to all the problems with Halo 2 there were tons of glitches that Bungie never fixed so yeah.

If your killcam is due to latency. It would take a lot more time to get an upload from the other guys Xbox/PS3 then to show you their actions from what they seen rather than showing you what was happening on the ingame environment where you were playing.

@Traceur_Ryuk

Before I stopped playing KZ2 in July the weapons balance was complete shit and there were times over and over again. Where I would find someone behind an inanimate object shooting through it.

I'm in now way saying IW is perfect because MW2 has a ton of glitches too. I'm just saying that if keep on it this aggressively the glitches that effect mult-player will be an afterthought.

Or you could just get good at the game? What happened to having good skill in a game? The most rewarding feeling in multiplayer to me is defeating the other team so bad that they think your cheating when your not.

You do realize that is how glitches and exploits get fixed...right? If only 100 people know and those 100 people never share then they will continue to ruin games for people and never be punished. Multiply the users by 100 and everyone knows and it gets fixed. Voila!

Are you suggesting the COD MW2 community is not large enough to raise this issue directly to the developer? You gotta be kidding me. Not every glitch becomes headline news. I suppose to extra attention helps. I never said Joystiq was evil or media shouldn't report this, I was just making an observation.

I guess my message got misinterpreted... because I am a Knifer/Run & Gunner but I know many people complain about what I do. And I love killing campers (Semtex) and sneaking behind and knifing snipers. I was just stating that glitching is the worst offender.
