The #7 item is actually two cars. There are 10 total cars in the pack. It should read:

#7 2010 Audi S4
#8 2009 Aston Martin #007 AMR Lola

This was one of the big games Microsoft was counting on to sell consoles, and it didn't. Their 'big' exclusives this year were ODST (sold fairly well, but not Halo 3 numbers), Forza 3 (sold rather poorly compared to expectations) and L4D2 (not a true exclusive)

They didn't have the lineup, it seems.

And GT5's pre-orders will be higher than these numbers...

Microsoft never gives Forza the proper timing it needs.

They've been trying to make it a holiday release the past two games.

There was a leaked list of things that were cut, and it included stuff like Weather and Night racing.

If they just let Turn10 have the time to work on the game, it would be much more of a leap from Forza 2 to 3.

With that being said, they did make great strides, the storefront is amazing.

Hey what can you do when there are blind fanboys who refuse to see the existence of the 360 out of pure stubborness? The reviews for Forza came in and the game proved to be a wonderful experience, but Grand Turismo fanboys are a blind, stubborn lot. I am enjoying the game and it blows every Grand Turismo ever created, we'll see what 5 has to offer once Sony decides to release it.

I played the game and hated it, personally, but that's just me.

There's a lot to like about Gran Turismo, can you blame them for not wanting to try anything else?

Considering the last two Forza games were released in May, the series has never been considered a holiday release in the past.

No offense but what is there to hate in the game? Its clearly the most feature rich racer ever. The only way you can hate the game is if you go in with preconceived notions on how the cars might feel once controlled, therefore producing an ideomotor effect further justifying your preconceived notions about the game. Face it the reason Grand Turismo will have a lot to like is because it kept getting delayed in order to incorporate everything Forza has that people like. Just like Trophies, in-game chat, Netflix, Video downloads, game marketplace that Sony only players take for granted that the 360 introduced this generation.

First, it's Gran Turismo. Not Grand. That drives me nuts.

Second, GT5 is integrating a hell of a lot more than Forza did. Weather controls, NASCAR, WRC, nearly 1000 cars, detailed car models, better online, etc.

The controls in Forza sucked. Hardcore.

Sony introduced a lot this generation. Like built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, user-swappable hard drives (not proprietary ones), Blu-Ray (which is affecting games, for the better). How can you say Sony 'copies' everything? Microsoft's entire business model is a virtual clone of Sony's from the PS1/PS2 days.

So we can't just admit that Forza 3 is good, even if GT5 may end up being better? There's 5 months in between both games releases. Hopefully GT5 will be better when it comes out, but that doesn't change that right now Forza is one of if not the best racer on the market.

And while sony did bring in a lot of tech into the PS3, most of it is just adding in tech that's already available. Microsoft introduced xbox live and has been adding features and making it a better experience since day one, and every feature MS has introduced has been copied by sony months later. The community features of the PSN are certainly functional, but xbox live seems to do everything better. We still don't have party chat or cross game chat on the PSN, but when Sony does add it do you think it's because they though of it all on their own?

Microsoft's buisness model is based around the xbox live community and online play. How is that a copy of Sony from the PS1/2? Sony didn't even give a shit about multiplayer then. They were the only console that only supported 2 controllers out of the box.

I like forza and all but it's obvious that even with having not much to choose from, 360 owners just didn't care about the game....which is really sad

thats true but i dont see this GT game being anywhere near any previous installment. the days of playstation games selling 10 million copies are probably over and may happen 1 or 2 times on the ps3 console.
ps3 does not have the market dominance that the ps2 and ps1 had when GT, MGS, and GTA all sold more than 10 million copies each. this is the most popular playstation game franchise so maybe it could be the game to close in on like 8 million sold, but im thinking about 4-5 million worldwide. which is great and will boost the playstation even more forward. but back to topic.

now when you say 360 owners did not care. i think you are wrong because selling 1 million copies is great this gen no matter what.

dead space, too human, left 4 dead, mirrors edge, countless RPG's have sold less than 1 million copies on each console and some of the great games this gen and games that are greatly loved by many gamers, including the forza following.

What the fuck are you talking about. I just got:
Forza 3
DiRT 2
Need for Speed: Shift
Modern Warfare 2
Left 4 Dead 2
Halo 3: ODST
Borderlands
Assassin's Creed II
I don't even know how I am ever going to even finish those.

I think he meant not much to choose from in terms of driving games.

I think a lot of ppl picked up Need For Speed Shift instead of waiting on Forza 3. It doesn't help that NFS:S is an awesome game and most ppl don't need both ... oh and after MW2 dropped Fora was an afterthought.

1 MIL units globally in it's launch window has to be considered an epic failure considering all the smack that Turn 10 was talking about the competition.

Turn 10 brought all this on themselves ... they deserve the backlash they get from failing at retail.

By not much to choose from I do mean racing games....shift was good and all but Forza 3 is better, the reason I said it failed was sarcasm, PS3 games like KZ2, LBP, GT5:P, Demon Souls and others did around a million or more in the first month and yet were called failures.....mind you with less of an installer base....it doesn't matter that all of those games are great....people still called them failures...my guess is it will go on to sale 2-3 million before forza 4 comes out in a couple years. Meanwhile I DO believe GT5 will have lifetime sales of at least 8 million.....when is the last time a full GT title has done less than that?

hell, that's still pretty good just for 1st week sales just in europe. did it ever break a million overall? i don't want to assume it did with worldwide sales even if its a safe assumption.either way, i'm happy 360 gamers got a great exclusive racing game to play. if i had a 360, i would have forza3, i had the 1st forza on the original xbox and it was good. but i just have a ps3 and i can't wait for gt5, i've always been a gt fan and i have no doubt this one will be great as well. yeah, its taking forever but you can't rush perfection and it should be worth the wait.

Could it be that Forza 3 is a slow burner. The game has set the benchmark for racers this year and beyond and GT will have to bring it. Yes, it has not flown off the shelf like GT will but then again GT already has a huge fanbase just like Halo, Mario.

You lot are crowning GT as the winner because it will sell more than Forza but lets be honest, that was going to happen no matter how great Forza is. You are crowning it the Champ because it has more features but look how long it's been in development. How many studios can develop a game with the size of poly for 5 years. Even so, the features mean nothing if the core gameplay is not up to the standards set by Forza. Sometimes it is better to concentrate on a few features and do them right then have a plethora of features and they all are just average.

I guess the the real issue is are you just a console fan or a racing fan. Personally, I am a racing fan so I will purchase both games. Since both of them concentrate on different things, it should be great for the racer in me.

And I suggest you go look at the post of the GT5:P numbers....which did more than this and the 360 fanboys said it was a flop....

Hardcore racing sims are a niche market, at least here in the US. And since when did we base the success of a game on what fanboys thought? I couldn't find this post you refer to anyway. Link it or I'll just assume you were making it up.

No matter how you look at it a million units sold is still a lot of copies, and I'm going to say microsoft sees it as a success.
