The DLC honestly doesn't bother me, I just purchased this pack (also got the collectors edition for $40.) I wouldn't by Prologue either. There's no way I'd pay for what is basically just a very large demo.

GT:P was a demo for GT4, and GT:PSP is a "meh" title.

I usually don't comment on these fanboy wars but I would like to add fuel to the fire. Didn't Turn 10 make 3 Forzas between 2004 and 2009 and Gran Turismo has made........0. I have no doubt Gran Turismo will have more cars and better graphics as they've spent 6 years on 1 game, however as I have played all of the GTs and Forzas, I much prefer Forza. And someone mentioning the online better in GT, I'm sorry but no. I remember there being a poll about which racing game will be better on CNET and Forza had more votes for 1 good reason, the developers would gift you a unicorn car if you voted for Forza. That boosted the numbers to nearly 100,000! That's community support GT will never see.

Of course Gran Turismo has made 0 Forza's. Kind of goes without saying ;p ... Perfection takes time and if it's worth the wait then you and everyone else would take one GT over 3 Forza's. Now, if it turns out to be just as good, marginally better or worse then what your saying might have some credence. Just for the record PD has done GT:P & GT:PSP this generation.

Just search the Storefront for "JPAG," or find my Storefront (gamertag: The Wurx). The JPAG Mini is available there.

Also, visit the JPAG on Facebook... I'm giving away a Joystiq Corvette!

Hardcore racing sims are a niche market, at least here in the US. And since when did we base the success of a game on what fanboys thought? I couldn't find this post you refer to anyway. Link it or I'll just assume you were making it up.

No matter how you look at it a million units sold is still a lot of copies, and I'm going to say microsoft sees it as a success.

Loving the 007 Lola. Seen it race a couple of times in the ALMS series (Asian, not American) and its sweet. About time we had a prototype in Gulf colours. Been intrigued as to the engine sounds as prototypes generally have a higher pitched engine sound to standard race cars (they sound like very angry wasps - especially the R15).

Purchase for me I reckon.

I love the game but highly dislike their practice of holding the Nissan GT-R as a DLC item.

I remember when PS3 games used to be mocked constantly for having inferior graphics and selling less. When Uncharted 2 and KZ2 came out alongside ODST and L4D2, suddenly xbox gamers "realised" that its gameplay, not graphics, that matter. Similalry, when GT5 comes out, you will see them come out stating that sales dont make any difference to the quality a game - which is perfectly true, just that its a bit different from what those same guys used to say in case of, say, LBP

"You think that was planned?"

Probably, since that's exactly what it said in the press release you guys got this news from.

Am I the only one who immediately decided to work out that if it's been played 6.6 million hours and 590 million collective miles have been driven then average speed on the game is approx 84mph?

"Even so, the features mean nothing if the core gameplay is not up to the standards set by Forza."

I lol'd. You are good at sarcasm!"

Maybe I am a person who enjoy playing games instead of championing a company. Maybe I have played all of the GT games as well as the Forza games and believe after playing Forza 3 that it has set a high bar on gameplay. Maybe if you stop kissing Sony's proverable behind you would know that their are games that play better than GT in a lot of areas.

Poly better be happy that they were able to sell a demo to millions of people because if not, GT5 would need to sell a hell of a lot of copies in order to just break even on their development cost. Personally I hope that Poly gave enough attention to all the features they are putting into GT5. What can easily happen is that a company can put in so many different features and lose focus on the core game they are trying to make.

Your words are true but you are forgetting one thing, we are already seeing the results of your words right now from the Sony fanboys. Now the Sony fanboys are saying how much GT5 will sell over Forza even though Forza 3 has garnered very high review scores. Forza is considered one of the best racing games for this gen of consoles but the Sony fanboys are saying it only sold a mill in a month as if selling a mill in a month is bad for a game that was developed in 18 months, is making a pretty decent profit now and continue to be within the top sell wise.

Hey Bradwart, if GT5 gets anything less than PERFECT reviews across the board I'm coming back here and finding your ass 6 months from now. The way people are talking up this game, GT5 better get straight 100's because if it doesn't it will be the joke of the century. 5+ years to develop? Give me a fucking break. Near perfection is easy to achieve - all it takes is time and effort. 5 years should be plenty.

The only reason why you hate so much is because you see Forza 3 as a legitimate threat to GT5. Admit it you asshat.
