Given that The Conduit was neither a commercial nor critical success, you may have passed on the once hyped shooter from High Voltage. NewEgg looks to be clearing out some end-of-year inventory and those boxes of The Conduit have got to go! For a mere $12 (shipping's free), the game's yours and, while not the best bang for your buck, the bargain buy could be justified in so much as The Conduit represents a valiant, if flawed effort to build a sound FPS for Wii hardware. Or, maybe you're just looking for a cheap gift for your little bro. Bingo, this is it.

Is a rip off if you ask me; Maybe they should give you $12 for taking it off their hands.

It's really too bad this didn't turn out well. They did a good job on the interface and graphics. But in an age where you've "seen it all" with FPSes, you really need to have top notch level and enemy design.
They just didn't have it.

It's worth picking up. At least, trying out. I had fun (enough) with the single-player campaign and the multiplayer aspects were pretty well done.
Considering it's a pretty decent game for less than many downloadable titles, why not give it a try?

This hurts, as I bought the game when it was still 50$, and I haven't even played past the first level.

totally just bought this

I bought it used for $30 (limtd ed). Liked the single-player, but hatred the ending and really hated the online play. It felt way too much like a free internet FPS.

It's a good game, not the best but I did enjoy it during the summer.
My review:

I think it has sold over 100,000 copies which for a 3rd party wii game isn't to bad.

Nope it has sold way more than that my friend
I liked it even though it pales in comparison to most of the other FPS out there (that I could have played on my Ps360) but for a Wii game, tight controls, not too shabby graphics, and for only $12? It's well worth it.
Hopefully good word spreads because the Wii needs more support from 3rd parties and this selling well can only motivate the 3rd parties to take more "chances" with the Wii.

I can't get the Nintendo Everything link to work, but VGchartz has The Conduit at 320,000 units sold (last updated in June). In comparison, House of the Dead: Overkill is at 440,000 units told (again, according to VGchartz).
You can argue with VGchartz methods of analysis, but if it did sell 320,000 units, that doesn't sound too bad to me. Plenty of games have sold worse than that.

The internet hyped me for this and Bioshock... me and the internet are not on speaking terms anymore.

They really did hype this one up. Like everyone has said, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. It was decent, but forgettable.
As for Bioshock, I'm not sure what happened there. I don't remember much hype for it before it came out. Was there a lot coverage and hype leading up? I bought it the day it released and loved it. It seemed to me like all the hype came after it was released and the people that waited to buy it after having heard all these amazing things about it, were disappointed. Expectations too high

I got this for $12 during black Friday. It's a good game for that price, so pull the trigger if you're interested. Didn't think it's worth more than $20 at this point.

For $12 I pulled the trigger. I still have Okami I haven't played yet that I picked up for cheap, too.

That's what I thought would happen. not even a single retort. Big effing surprise.
You all know it's true just you rather ignore the sad truth of it all. *sigh*

Re-Releash it minus the friends codes and add 32 player online support and I'll think about it.
Idiots had a winner but they went with friend codes. I sold my Wii because of friend codes! Stupid Nintendon't! Sega you're stupid too, should have looked to EA for how to do online right!
The only game I ever enjoyed on Wii for online play was Medal of Honor: Heroes 2; That game had good online play. Sold the Wii and moved on to PS3 because of the crappy online play.
I can see that motion control will come to PS3 which means Wii is nothing more then a failure of a gamers console IMO since the other manufacturers not online will offer similar features in time but they will provide an experience not hindered by pathetic parental control BS.
Screw you Nintendo for screwing up the Wii!
/end rant

That's about four times the cost that I would consider paying for this shit.

Really? Your taste in games must be rather expensive... I mean honestly, if that were true you'd be willing to pay $100+ for most of the games you love.
The Conduit isn't THAT bad. The hype is what killed it for most people, but it's nowhere near a horrible game.
........ but I would pay $100+ for the games I love. In fact, I did. Purchasing classic games off ebay that went extinct, I paid quite a large sum of money just to own them once again.

My favorite part of the game is the extensive list of options, most important being completely custom button configuration and organizable HUD.
Set it up as close to Halo so I didn't have to memorize different buttons and screens, killed shit successfully. Unlike Red Steel...
Lots of developers could take a lesson from this part of the game

The game´s fine. Some levels are dull, but, to tell the truth, most of it is genuine fun. It was the big hype that broke it´s back. I enjoy it more than MP3
