The internet has become the de facto way to send send half-hearted holiday greetings, but why not class it up this year? Why not buy some cards from the Webcomic Holiday Postcard Fundraiser, the perfect way to say "I acknowledge you have not yet died, but I'm certainly not going to buy you anything."
Not only will the money go to help Child's Play, but most of the cards (illustrated by webcomic artists like Scott Ramsoomair of VGCats fame) are so pretty the recipient may feel like they've gotten a gift and will, in turn, feel obligated to get you something. And that, friends, is what Christmas is all about.

I personally liked the Santa trainer one. I could see Rudolph being a bad ass pokemon.

Probably it would've been better to have each artist apply their personal style to a general christmas-y theme with game characters people would actually recognize without having to visit the webcomic of each particular artist. There's a few that went that route, and kudos to them for pitching to a broader audience, the rest sort of feel like they're just shilling their comics by inserting their cast, like getting an xmas card from K-Mart with a coupon for fifty cents off bunion cream inside. Fans of the comic/bunion cream might appreciate it more, but not me or my silky smooth soles.
But the cause is good, so I'll cut out the middleman and donate directly to Child's Play. Bah humbug!

It's pretty disappointing and will further the image of videogames as an interest of ignorant children. Someone there needs to learn to proofread.

"I'm afraid I can't let you chew that, Starfox..."
Begin awesome Star Wolf battle music.
