If you claim to love Tim Schafer, the new Brütal Legend DLC, "Hammer of Infinite Fate," is your chance to prove it. When it arrives on Dec. 17, you'll be able to pay the designer the ultimate tribute and carve his giant, disembodied head into Mount Rockmore. Sure, you're still a stalker, but in a totally socially acceptable way. You'll also get the Oculus of the Lost, a Deuce upgrade that shows every collectible on the map, as well as new outfits for Eddie and four new multiplayer maps.
The pack's apparently going to be a bit cheaper for PlayStation 3 users, who will pay $4.99 compared to 480 MS points ($6) on Xbox 360. That might be a misprint (we've asked EA for confirmation), but we recall that PSN users did get the first DLC free for two weeks. Teacher's pets.

Hope that is a misprint. A little old seeing the prices being gouged sometimes.

Being a PS3 user I have to agree as well. A lot of my friends are kind of pissed at EA for not lowering the price for BFBC DLC, though I could careless, I just want them to shut up.

Yep. It's bad publicity to show lower prices for one system versus the other. Happy for you PS3 users on this one. If it isn't a misprint, then I will just wait until it's a deal of the week.

Very true. Even if it's a year down the road. I just can't support price gouging at the moment.

"it really should be free on the ps3, to entice ppl to buy the inferior version...."
WAT
By your logic, we should be enticed to buy the 'inferior' version by being given the 'inferior' version for free.
Lolwut? And you're the worse type of MS Fanboy, happy to do whatever MS tell you yo do.

@Kevin I'm sure he knows that, but thanks for the asinine headsup. He probably isn't the only one who would have preferred additional single-player gameplay since it is fairly short. Instead the DLC provides to the ability to take the hunting out of treasure huntering, dressup clothes and multiplayer maps. If someone doesn't play or enjoy the multiplayer, then the DLC is pretty pointless.

I-I'm sorry, story updates?!
Here, let me save you the trouble of waiting for more 'epic single player missions'.
You walk or drive up to a glowing spot on the map and talk to a headbanger.
"So who're we ambushing today?"
"...bad guys. Wanna help?"
Select Now. Then defeat a random swarm of enemies.
Rinse and repeat forty times. There, I just saved you five bucks.

I did the same thing. I spent a couple of marathon sessions getting 100% of the map-based "treasures" before finishing the game.
Wonder if the map is a static of all bonus items or just those "uncollected".
At first, I'd missed a couple of jumps along the way, since I couldn't see any bugs and thought I must have cleared it earlier. SOMEHOW - almost pure luck, I circled back to some of the dense areas and found the two missing ones.
Why? Because it was there. Although I do feel a bit dumb about it now.

What's wrong with it? I played it on the PS3 and it was fine.

Games should have free DLC for at least a week, or how about this FREE anyways cause you already bought the game and shouldn't have to invest more money into a game that most ppl out there don't have to funds to fork out.
Game developer's out there, let me choose one.. Bioware....had the balls to release DLC content in the first week and guess what it was not free.
Ever since Oblivion for the Xbox360 came out, wasted money on DLC was getting worse and worse, it's like a rash that can't be cleaned or cured.
If the content is an expansion, then I could see a charge for it's content.
I love Brutal Legends, but come on where's the free DLC...and stop favoring systems, which I think is funny cause the Xbox 360 sold more copies of the game then it did on the PS3. It's like the Xbox360 is targeted for people to waste more money on the system then anything out there.
Sorry for the rant, I just think the DLC system is broken and I want a fix.
